took two weeks start to finish. thanks to Martin and everyone posting on these forums.
bank have cancelled my card and, as i am now in credit, the only way to access my winnings is to physically go the branch and withdraw it. As I'm normally out of the country I dunno if this is legal as I'm in credit and would mean I would have no access to my cash. oh well, spiteful sore losers! Am off to get cash and close the account and be done with this bank once and for all! Bye!!!0 -
Amount claimed £420 & £350

Natwest
Amount Reclaimed: £110.00
Amount they paid: £110.00
The story:
Downloaded template from this site and sent out letter on Feb 19th. Today (March 22), I got refunded of the full amount as a "gesture of goodwill and without admission of liability or error".
It goes on to say that "...any charges that properly accrue in the future will be applied t oyour account in line with our published tarrif and in accordance with your agreement with the bank. Should you be unwilling to accept any such charges, then we may need to consider if we are prepared to continue to provide you with your existing banking facililties."
£110.00 may not seem a lot to some of you but as a foreign student, it is a difference of life and death! I could survive for 3-4 weeks with that amount!
Many thanks and Cheers to Mr. Lewis!0 -
