  • On this part of the letter what court do you put? your local??

and therefore the [INSERT NAME OF COURT] court will rule in my favour

have you cancelled those DD's ???

I assume you have your own account now ?

I would extricate your self from that account or get it closed. Get those charges claimed back - if your money is going elsewhere then they will just be taking it off themselves/your ex ;)

If those are the only charges you have then a strongly worded letter setting out the basis for the unlawful charges claims might do the job...otherwise it'll serve as your prelim letter and when they take the money send your letter before action in.

GOOD ! Contrary to popular opinion on this site a defence is exactly what you want !!!!

Look forward to receiving a copy of it and having a good laugh ;)

  • Hi can you help me at all.

I have had a letter back from my banks, Abbey and Barclays, saying they are going through the complaints procedure and they will write to me again in4 weeks. Is this acceptable??

I have had my bank statments, this letter come after I sent a letter asking for the money back. It has been 3weeks this week and I recieved the letter from them within the 2 week period.

Any ideas - can they do this or can I write them another letter?

Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks

I am in same situation - Halifax and American Express Blue.

I inundated with requests for refunds as they are, I also think its a delay tactic - they may have to pay out less after the report is heard (or something similar) next month.

The FSA may give them 8 weeks - I won't

They got another 7 days then I'm going to file court paperwork.
