Reclaimed Bank Charges SUCCESS stories

Help please! Apologies if I am asking for info that has been posted thousands of times before, but I need to confirm.
I have a bank account with HSBC, and admittedly am crap with my overdraft facility, it is £200 and I have over the past 6 years, regularly gone over (in some instances by £300 - i.e. £500 overdrawn). I know this is not good practise, and have recently managed to reign it back in.
However, my question is, having quickly calculated the last 5 yrs with interest (got bored before getting to 6 years!) it amounts to over £2,700 charges (the highest one off charge being £125.00!!).
I am unsure as to what constitutes reasonable, and therefore what I am entitled to claim, i.e. surely the bank are entitled to charge me for being a repeat offender, but at what point does this become unreasonable, and how do I calcuate the difference.
Or am I being completely dim, and am I entitled to claim for the whole lot? (!)
Many thanks! (apologies for the lengthy post!)0 -
You are entitled to claim for the full amount of the charges provided they are in the list of charges you can claim, post 4 in the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature.0

Hi, this question has probably been asked & answered but a can't find it. I'm just starting to claim all my sisters charges, she has 3 accounts with Yorkshire Bank, 1 visa, 1 loan & 1 current account. Do we have to include 3 x £10.00 cheques or just 1 £10.00 cheque. I am gonna post them all in the same envelope to the same place, is this correct? Thanks, SUFC
I got my cheque sent back from Barclays when asking for statements on my current account but another one I sent was cashed when asking for my Barclaycard statements.0 -
As far as I am aware (will check) they are "unauthorised exceeding overdraft" so thus claimable.
I better get on with collating all of the figures and proceed with a claim!
Many thanks!0 -
on behalf of my brother.
Which address should I write to please?
Thank you.

If they're offering free lists of charges take it every time. You might be surprised and find some charges you didn't know about.:beer:0
