Hi, i'm currently follwing the step by step approach, the last letter i sent to Halifax was asking for my unlawful charges back with interest, giving them 14 days to reply. They have replied saying the complaint handing rules regulated by the FSA gives them 8 weeks to investigate. Is this correct and do i wait, giving the banks more time to find a way out of this nightmare, or do i send the next letter giving them 7 days or court.
Thanks, Tony.0 -
Carry on, you've got nothing to lose, and all the templates are on this website. They are only trying to scare you off.0

Hey!
Last question before I get my letter sent off...as Im asking for the last half of my payment, should I give them 7 days again to reply in, or just tell them its not what I asked for and Im taking them to court?
Sorry to be needing every last detail, I just dont want to get it wrong!0 -
So I should go straight to Moneyclaim next week then??
Yes!! They've had plenty of time to deal with your claim.

Stick to your timescales, and certainly don't wait 8 weeks!!

Couldn't have been easier! £912
Sent the first letter on 19th Feb. Heard nothing. Sent a reminder two days ago but wasnt needed as today I received a full offer of £912 that I asked for and they won't close my account.
Thanks for the encouragement.
