If you are looking for a full refund, then you should file the claim. You could wait days or weeks for them to reply and then most likely get a partial offer.0 -

Hi everyone... Does anyone know whether the unfair bank charges applies to Business Accounts? My brother is self employed and has been hammered by Lloyds for the past 5 - 6 years and as he is a small one man band business, he is getting deeper into debt. I have asked the Financial Ombudsman and they say yes but did not give me any confidence. My son's girlfriend who is an accountant does not think it applies - please help
You can reclaim some business account charges, the ones similar to personal accounts, but you can't reclaim any annual/monthly review type, paying in cash/cheques type business charges.0 -
Quick question...if I have requested statements and paid £10 but they have not sent the statements within the 40 days, is there any way I can get my money back as they haven't fulfilled my request?0

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum, I have been using Martins step by step guide in reclaiming my bank charges back, I'm on my 2nd letter at the moment, but I've just realised i didn't put a date on the letter.. Should I ring them up or resend the letter with a date on it, I'm not bothered about it taking a little longer to sort it out.
Anyway if anyone can give me a bit of advise about this would be great.
Thanks to everyone on this forum for all their stories and info it has been really helpful.
I'll keep you informed of my outcome.

Hi
If you sent it recorded delivery, you will be able to find out through Royal Mail online services the date they received it, keep a note of it. Personally, I would send a further letter saying something like, 'for your reference the letter sent on xx/xx/xx should have been dated xx/xx/xx but you note that they received it on xx/xx/xx.' just to cover yourself. But I would still keep to the same timescales. You could probably get hold of a fax number if you ring the bank (which one?) - that way you'll know that they've had that letter too.Lou0 -

HELP!!!!!! i sent my first letter 20th feb, heard nothin by day 14 so sent second letter, then when i was on phone to bank about something else i got told i had been awarded my charges back and the case was decided on 3rd march, for the full amount i had claimed for. After the first week i phoned and said i had not recieved letter, then phoned again on saturday just gone and the guy said he was emailing the person concerned to re-post my letter as i had not recieved it, now, they are past the time scale set in second letter, do i wait a few more days or just file the court claim, also if i do go ahead and pay the 120 for court will i get it back if the letter turns up day or two after, or will i loose that money !!!! Please help if you can !!!!0
