Hi, Here's my story.....
Already had statements.
1st Letter requesting refund 13/2/2007
Reply from A&L - No Way!
2nd letter requesting refund plus interest or go to court 17/2/2007
Reply from A&L - Same as first - No Way!
MCOL 23/2/2007
Acknowledged 27/2/2007
Cheque arrived today full amount + interest + court charges = £2427.00 :T
All A&L claimers stick with it, don't give in, worth the worry and wait.
NOTE: Follow Martin's direction to the letter and don't be put off by the MCOL
as submitting the claim section is tricky as it has to fit in the space provided so has to be edited! Go through deleting commas and speech marks and splitting words etc. :money: THANKS MARTIN!0 -

Whoop whoop whoop.
Arrived home today to find I'd missed a special delivery. Went to Post Office to find letter from Cobbetts and a cheque for £8,070.60 along with the usual "goodwill" rubbish and no admittance of fault.
We were due at court on March 23 so I am well chufed. Took about eight months from start to finish and there were times when I was so tempted to give up, particularly when they offered £2,500.
It's a long and at times scary process but I will now be debt free and have a brand new 37 inch LCD television within a matter of days!
Life is good again and I can't thank all the people who offered moral support and helped out enough.
Keep the faith people.
Congratulations, we are claiming around the same amount from Nat west and I rang the court today to see if Nat West Had submitted a defence yet and they havent! they have untill midnight tonight! So we are doubly crossing our fingers that they dont at the last minute. I'll be on the phone to the court on Monday and unless Im mistaken if they havent submitted a defence we have won, does anyone reading this know if I'm right and if i am how do we get the money from them is it quick or will we be waiting ages. I'd be grateful for any advice. Well done again enjoy your new TV. we are paying our debts off if we get the money and hope there will be enough to have a little break with the kids, we really need it. Regards Jillybilly0 -

I reclaimed all my Bank Charges from my 2 accounts with Halifax PLC.
I followed all the processes as posted on the moneysavingexpert website and won every penny back - £2660.00...
They wrote and offered a 'Good Will Gesture' of £2100, but I phoned them and said that I wanted more and was offered the whole amount immediately - I was ready for a little bartering but it wasn't necessary!!0 -
MCOL requested today (10/03/07) against Barclays for £650.35 (£565.00 + interest) + £80 Court fee. Wish me luck guys!
Can anybody confirm the deadlines/dates that the claim will be considered issued and when I can claim a win by default if no defence is submitted? Also, are any number of days quoted working days, or standard calender days? Clarification of this would be most appreciated!
Thanks,

Also got a letter from Barclays stating that they were not obliged to provide the information according to any particular format and that they would instead send me bank statements in the next few weeks with no charge. Got my cheque back.0

Sent the initial standard letter with my £10 cheque to my local Natwest about a month ago.
This morning the postman gave me two large envelopes containing all my bank staments of the last 6 years. There's no other letter or documentation in either envelope.
Is that all I should expect to get? Do I have to work it all out myself?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!Forget the chicken and the egg, what do you use to plant seedless grapes?0 -
Yes you have to now go through all the statements and add up all the charges.0
-
Yes you have it work it out yourself. Check post 4 in the Reclaim Help Thread for what you can and can't claim, link in my signature.0

I applied just 14 days ago for £2700 + £800 interest.
I have today recived an offer of £2700. Should i take it?
I have realised that i did not include overdraft interest at £600, plus interest, as natwest did not include this when i asked for my charges.
But i am desperatly in need of cash, and worried that the the office of fair trading will mess things up.
Thing is, i have already sent a pre court letter, as i thought they were ignoring me. Should i wait and see if they offer the rest, or just accept? Could my letter in the post, cancel out this offer?
Worried and excited at the same time.0
