Lloyds Tsb.
Claim £900.00
Paid £900.00
20th october.
Started in may with help from Penalty charges and a personal push from Martin, it took for the balifs to be called in before they paid up. I AM now after Abbey who have made a defence and have a further 28 days I think, I am also after Capitol One who have made a partial offer.

Hi,
I have a joint mortgage with Halifax, however I am in the process of trying to reclaim my bank charges for my current account with them and from reading lots of advise from people who have reclaimed their bank charges it is advised that you open a new current account with another bank as Halifax could cancel my account with them. I'm now worried that they may cancel my mortgage with them also. Does anyone know if they can do this please? Should I be worried?
Thanks.0 -
Claimed £1783 from First Direct...... offered me £1515 initially.. told them to forget it and wanted full amount.... got a letter back today offering me the full amount.. took only 5 weeks and never got as far as making an online claim...
Thanks FD

Recently, I was charged £39 by Halifax for a returned item, I was also charged £20 by Secure Trust Bank (Secure Hmes) in relation to the same item.
I fistly phoned Halifax who agreed to 'waive' the charge on this occasion as I don't usually mis-manage my account and likewise with Secure Trust. However, I decided to make a point and told them both that their charges were illegal anyway but both denied this and said it was for credit cards only. I even pointed Secure Trust Bank to a web site given in the draft letter but they made a point of calling me back to say that it only applied to Credit Cards. As I had the charges waived, I had no way of proving a point so am curious as to where I could direct anyone in future should this ever happen to me again.0 -

Just got a tenner back from HSBC, it was the one and only time I have ever been charged on the account over the summer due to a mess up with my wages. I thought, why not give it a go, so I emailed them, and got a reply saying that they are sufficient to cover costs and nothing else, and would not be refunding them. So I just asked for a breakdown of gthe costs involved just to satisfy my misgivings, and the ten opunds has appeared in my account! So I have got a fairtrade coffee and a fairtrade cereal bar to celebrate, got money out of the banks and saved the world, a good day already!Littlewoods catalogue - won back charges of £300 by default.
