    Can someone help please?

On 21st Feb I sent off my 1st letter to Nat West (to my branch, Birmingham) and received a reply from Customer Care Team in Wimbledon, informing me that they are forwarding my letter onto the Customer Relations Unit who specialise in these matters (they will contact me in 10 days). I feel that this is one of their fob off letters so was going thinking to send the 2nd letter but am unsure which address to send this to and who? Not sure which action to take?

    Thanks

    Liz Anne

can someone please tell me if there is actually a time limit to reclaimor for the anksto make a decision as i started my claim in nov 2006 waited and posted the relevant letters (7 days etc) gave a list (using the calc) etc, had letter back saying dealing with it, phoned them at te end of january they now telling me that the oft have given them a time limit of 10 weeks to deal with claims (10 weeks from what date) i was told i would have a decision from the bank by the end of march, is this right, because i have also heard that in april the oft are changing the amounts banks have to refund, do you think my bank is holding out until april, should i just continue with court proceedings.

You've been taken for a ride here by your bank.

You set the timescales not them.

It is 40 days for the DPA request, 14 days for the prelim letter, 14 days for letter before action, and then you file your court claim. Dont give them any longer.

:money: :money: thank you will let u know how i get on
  • I've sent the letter asking for my charges refunded, to both banks and they have replied with the same response. They are both looking into my claim. So should I send them the letter giving them 7 days or go straight to the claims court letter?

I would normally agree with what Rain says but RBS seem to be settling on the second letter so a phone call on Monday might produce results.

oops just re-read your post when you say you have sent 2 letter you mean one to RBS and one to HSBC so now you need to send your letter before action giving them 7 days or you will take court action.

I hope its okay to start a new thread.

I requested my statments/list of charges on February 14th, I believe the bank has 40 days to send them or reply.

This should be about 27th March.......I wait with baited breath.
