Reclaimed Bank Charges SUCCESS stories

I recently sent a letter to the Halifax as per the template letter, and bearing in mind that they had charged me over £1000 in charges only over the past year, the majority of which were because I had changed bank accounts and they were charging me for telling people that I had no money in my account. I am still trying to put right the fall out from this incident. Anyway I asked them for £1660 and to take off the default notice from my CRF, I received a letter from them informing me that they NEVER put a default on anyones CRF so not to worry. They also agreed immeadiately to give me back £1558 which I accepted and have now had given back to me. My agreement with them was that I would then pay off what was left on my overdraft.
A week later I received a letter from a debt collection agency who said they had been contacted by the Halifax apparently after they had given me the offer for reclaiming my charges. On speaking to this agency I was told that there was no doubt that I have had a default put on my CRF.
So please beware the Halifax who seem to say one thing and do another, but at least I got my money back and dont anyone be frightened of the banks.

No, loan interest is worked out on the duration of the loan assuming that the loan will be paid over the term of the loan. You need to check the T&Cs of the loan.0 -

Bank : Natwest
Amount reclaimed : £4596
Amount paid :£4596
I sent my second letter detailing charges on the 8th February, i recieved a letter saying that i would get a reply no later than today.
This morning the letter fell onto my doormat and i dreaded opening it as i was thinking i was going to have to go to court to get my money back.
The offer made was exactly what i had claimed, you could have knocked me over with a feather.
So i sent the letter straight back this morning and the money will be in my bank in the next seven days.
To celebrate i'm going to use some of the money to buy my husband a new car for his birthday !0 -

I have today recived a letter from the court basic explaining that due to the incompentence of the bank they have decided that a court date is not neccassary and that I have won by the court not responding to any letters/court bundle or witness statements.
My question is this:
I now need to put on to a form which they have sent me all of my charges, e.g, bank charges, interest, and court fees. I have read somewhere that I can also charge for sending letters and administration. This sounds to me a little pushy, but if anyones knows of anyone else having done it and getting paid then I might as well get something else out of a swindling company.
P.s many thanks to everyone who has helped me on my way to recovering something that has owing to me. I thank each and everyone of you.
Have you received any reply yet on this. Im at the court stage and wanted to know if I could claim for guaranteed posted letters at 4.10 each etc etc?Nat West - MCOL March - FatWest defended - hearing date 4 July - 2300 claimed and still having charges put onto account!!
HSBC - sent 14 day - still waiting for reply. MCOL by end of week - claiming 795 - eventually paid out £560.
Halifax - sent for statements Feb - cheque cashed - nothing received - reported to FSA - paid up almost amount claimed before official complaint registered with FSA0
