CuddlyGorilla wrote:Okay, trying now to re-balance myself, this is the first stage of a claim getting underway, and I'll keep posting as the saga develops, each step of the way. If anyone wants to throw in a 'hi' here and there, I'll do my best to reciprocate! Please forgive me if it's not a fast response, though - there are just not enough hours in the day, or night. It'll be nice to know I'm not alone, although that's how I feel right now. Mum hasn't got the strength either physically or mentally to do this, and I've absolutely no idea how much and how many (or if any?!?) charges are going to be claimed, so I guess we'll discover soon, eh?
Coming along for the journey?
I’ll link any new threads if this thread gets a bit long… (I’m a bit new to this)
Have a damn fine weekend!

Sorry CuddlyGorilla but we don't have room on this board for everyone to post their own journey in its own thread but please feel free to update users here or in the HSBC thread.0 -

I was using a halifax bank account whose bank charges have sent me into overdraft of £128. I am reclaiming over £300 from them and have just sent them a letter stating I will take them to court if they dont reply ( I received no response to my first letter). I no longer use the acount and have no money going in or out of it apart from the accumulation of bank charges. Should I pay off this outstanding £128 before I take them to court as every month the amount im claiming back increases. I dont want to pay off the overdraft in case by paying it im agreeing in some way to the charges. Im not sure what to do so any advice would be grateffully received.0

hi all
i have a visa electron card with halifax where my direct debits are taken from, in 2005 i was hit with 3 charges (£39 each time) and 1 again this month (same amount) even though no money was paid out to make me go into any unathoutherise overdraft. can i reclaim thes charges back and if yes how do i go about doing it?
