Sunday_Morning wrote:I had a problem recently with my online bank unable to accept a message. I couldn't figure out why.
In the end it was because I had pasted in my list of charges from excel and although i couldn't see them on the screen, there were "shift" tabs to denote where different ceels had been used.
Once I pasted my message into MS Word and selected to see all the tabs, it became clear to me and i was able to edit oon Word, copy and paste, and submit with no further problem.
Sorry if this doesn't correspond with your problem, but I though I'd mention it just in case...0 -

Is the aforesaid £12 supposed to represent a "one-off" charge, or the maximum anmount per charge (albeit it's not set in stone)?
What I mean is, say you have gone overdrawn beyond your agreed limit and been charged £25 each for two subsequent transactions that shows up as a £50 charge on your bank statement.
Is the OFT recommending that this charge should be £12 or £24?0 -
I posted the question yesterday - will I be allowed to represent my daughter if her case gets as far as court, because she is working abroad and might not be back in time.
Decided to phone the MCOL helpline, and was told that I can use my details in the service details on the form, and if she cannot make any court hearing, she has to write to the court and say I will represent her.
Thought this might be useful to someone else.
Still don't know if I should deduct the £750 'goodwill gesture' from the total she is claiming and put the smaller amount on the claim form - which would make it different from the one I sent to Lloyds - or keep it the same but add that they have made a part payment of £750.
Anyone else had the same situation?0 -

OFT isn't recommending anything regarding bank charges, the recommended £12 is for credit card charges.0 -

The £12 recommended by the OFT is per charge for credit cards, so for two charges of £25 each, totalling £50, no more than £24 should be charged according the OFT.0 -

I can't remember what you are supposed to put on the forms other than you should let MCOL know so try ringing them and asking.0
