Does anyone know if the initial £10 fee to gain info on the charges made against your account is to be paid per account or just per letter? I need to enquire about 3 separate Natwest bank accounts and don't know whether to send ten or thirty pounds.0

Well,my case got to the stage where Lloyds filed a defence.
I haven't received the defence papers yet, so i don't know their reasons but I've got a few questions:
1. I'm not sure whether Lloyds customers are allowed to claim back account charges (£7 a month); I know other banks provide exactly the same service as Lloyds for no fees at all. When I filed my claim I got conflicting advice on whether to claim these fees or not, so I decided to add them to my charge list.
Was this a mistake?
2. I received a partial payment of £715 from Lloyds as their 'goodwill gesture'. I declined the 'generous' offer (altogether I'm claiming around £2100) but the person from the HQ said it was OK,they wouldn't take the money back; if I won the total amount they would just deduct the £715 from the payout.
So on my court claim I was still claiming the full amount.
Now I saw that Lloyds is defending the whole amount and it made me wonder whether the reasons above were prompting them to defend. Or is it just one of their tactics?
I already let the court know about the £715 partial payment and they noted it on my file.
Bit confused, any advice would be welcome.

I would post the cheque back to them, recorded delivery so you can prove it.:T This site is great! Thanks to Martin Lewis & everyone who participates and helps so many people! Bank: Royal Bank of Scotland plc
Amount Reclaimed: £2500
Amount they paid: £2297
The story:
Challenged RBS under Scottish Law looking back at over 3 years - I already has this info downloaded and to hand - calculated all charges applied; deducted the ones they had "refunded as a gesture of goodwill"; and send the letter off. 2 weeks later reminded them that court action was iminent. A letter sent the same day as the 2nd letter duely arrived offering to settle as above.
All in all - took about 3 weeks.
There was a veiled threat of closing my account if I did not accept; but that was to be expected.
Thank you RBS plc and of course MSE!

I thought exactly the same thing, but when I logged on all I got was the last 3 months. So I Phoned Halifax on the 08457 20 30 40 number. The lady on the phone explained that your statements online only go as far back as when you signed up for online banking, AND they have to be saved in Archive in order for you to re-access them. So I have resulted in Requesting my statements over the phone for a charge of 5.00 pounds and have been informed I should receive them within seven days of the money being taken from my account. So I will sit and wait and hopefully start step 2 for reclaiming next week. I hope this helps0 -
