  • Hi again!

From reading through this forum, I gather that I can claim against charges on store cards as well as credit cards.

However, I had a Warehouse store card and a Debenhams store card and currently have a Topshop store card (only small outstanding balance, I'm trying my best and will cancel it once paid!). Do I send statement request letters to each company's Head Office? Furthermore, I do not know my accound details, so should I provide them with as much information as I can?

Thank you for your time once again X
  • Well im off to a start now . The first letter is in the post to A/L recorded delivery . Lets see what the 40 days brings . thanks martin for the kick from your video !!!:T

  • I wish to claim bank charges on one of my halifax current accounts. My other account is a joint account with hubby. If I pursue halifax on my own current account could they close our current account?
  • Bank: Royal Bank of Scotland.

I wrote one letter, after 28 days I was offered principal amount without interest. I accepted and on the third day after I mailed the acceptance the money was in my account.

They did state in the letter that if I made such a request again in the future they would change my account type. I currently have a loan and overdraft with them.

The whole experience was pretty easy.

    Hello,

Any help would be hugely appreciated with regards to RBS defending my claim against them. RBS's solictors have said that they would like the following information:

    1. In your claim you state: "Claimant claims [the] return of the amounts debited £3339". Please provide the following particulars in support of your claim:
1.1 In relation to each charge please identify a) the date when the chage was charged b)the amount of the same and c0 the reasons given for charging of the same.

1.2 In relation to each charge, please clarify the following a) is it the case of the Claimant the samne should not have been charged? b) if yes: please explain why the claimant contends that the same should not have been charged c) If no, is it the case of the Claimant that the same should not have been charged in this amount? d) If yes, please explain why the claimant contendes that the same should not have been charged in this amount and dientigy the sum the claimant contends should have been charged. e) if not, please state the claimant's case.

    2. In your claim you state that the charges are: "unenforceable under the Unfair Terms ....... Services Act 1982".

    3. Please specify all of the facts relied on by the Claimant in support of the contentions in paragraph 3 above, and in particular please identify a0 the sections of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 ("UCTA 1977) b) the regulations of the Unfair Contract Terms in Consumer Regulations 1999 ("the Regulations) and c) the principles of common law relied upon by the claimany in alleging that the contractual provisions referred to are unenforceable. Please also identify the contractual provisions that the Claimant alleges are unenforceable by reference to UCTA/the Regulations.

What information should I be providing to them? I know I have to outline every single charge and what it was for, but what about the other information that I have to supply?

It seems like an awful lot of information they need - I haven't come across anyone else who has had to supply this - should I be worried??

Sorry for the extremely lengthy post!

    Many thanks.
