Bank: Virgin One Account
Amount Reclaimed: 158.00+5.69 interest + 30 court fee = 193.69
Amount they paid: 193.69
The story: Sent off both letters with the correct timescales and received no response so filed MCOL on 19th Feb and received reply today. However I have got to ring them cos although they say they have refunded the full amount only a £30 credit has gone into my account.
Thank you to everyone on this site. Wouldnt of done it without it.
One down six more to go.

On martins Templates it says to send the letter back saying that you dont accept but it also says "insert courts name here"
Does this mean i need to file court action? or do i just insert my local court name????
Sorry im getting so confused... lol

Nationwide
Claim £2934.50 + £689.39 interest
RECEIVED £2934.50 + £689.39 interest + £1.96 in pending charges!!
The Story: it took us 2 and a half months, we got as far as the Nationwide saying they were intending to defend, but they paid up two weeks after court papers were served. No mention of account being closed. I wouldn't be saying any of this without the help of Martin and his amazing team and the chat forum bods who responded to my questions.

The overdraft I have on my Lloyds TSB account is approx £7,000. They have frozen the interest and are only asking for £25 per month for the next 6 months.
If I go through the process of trying to claim back the charges on this account for the past 6 years will they then insist that I immediately pay back the overdraft?
Any monies they refund would go towards this overdraft but have a look at these two threads regarding this problem.

I am going through natwest to get my charges back, i asked for my statements, they replied with a nice letter, i replied with a copy of the template on here with a full breakdown of charges on the 21st last month, i then received a letter saying they were looking into it...then heard nothing, i have just sent the letter talking about taking them to court but now starting to get a bit scared...what do i do, and how do i take them to court....
It seems NatWest will go to the wire and you may well have to start the court proceedings but you can do this online and its quite a simple process.0 -
KMW wrote:After being charged £30 for a failed debit card transaction(was £1.30 short) I am considering reclaiming charges from Nationwide. However who will give me a debit card account when I have a slightly!!! dodgy credit score. Check the Budgeting and Current Accout Board for a Basic Current Account Also 1. will Nationwide play difficult with my morgage, 2. Close my savings account. Someone recently had all accounts closed by Nationwide 3. Close my wifes basic account. As above.
Just as a further note about Nationwide , due to a "Admin error" by them they have not been taking the correct morgage payments for the last 3 months
result we are over £600 in arrears. They are demanding it be brought up to date
do I have to pay interest on the arrears?. You need to get this sorted as soon as possible, make an offer to overpay something at least on a monthly basis.
Guys your help would be greatly appreciated.
PS. just sent DPA letter to Capital One credit card.

You can start a claim but be aware they will probably refund any monies due to this account. Please read this thread.
