Just need some advice!
Just contacted my court to find out about a hearing date...low and behold the recent changes of particulars of claim I filled in..I put the wrong claim number on them! This wrong claim number incidentally was the fault of Cobbetts as they put this on my letter!
Anyway, does anyone advise contacting the bank even at this stage to let them know that I have sent in my AQ and entering new particulars, will they possibly make an offer over the phone, or should I leave be??
Thanks in advance!0 -
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and havent posted before, but am incredibly interested in claiming back the bank charges owed to me.
My only concern is that of the possibility of closure of my account.
I have a closed Barclays account that i'm defo gonna go for, but i also have a Natwest Graduate account with a £2000 overdraft. I have a few credit cards as well, totalling £1650, so my credit score isn't the best, and i'm worried that Natwest will close my account and i'm not gonna be able to get another graduate account with the same overdraft facility.
Does anyone know what Natwest are like regarding closing accounts?
Also my OH wants to claim back on his HSBC account (also a graduate account with a similar overdraft) but he has a loan with them and also a credit card. Whats the likelyhood of them closing his account?
Cheers for any help anyone can give me, would be mucho appreciated...

One of my friends was recently a victim of internet fraud and I was wondering if anyone knows if you can reclaim money that has been removed illegally via a third party? Basically, our friend was logged into online banking when a pop-up appeared and asked for clarification of security details. Lo and Behold, the next day the accounts were cleaned out to the tune of 11k.
The bank says that it has traced the transaction to IRAQ!! but have refused any form of refund. Can anyone shed any light or is it a lost cause??0 -

 Good God, £11K, I Feel Really Sorry For Them
As Far As Im Aware Its A Lost Cause Trying To Reclaim Money Which has Been Lost Due To Fraud UNLESS Its Through A Credit Card (Credit Cards Offer SOME Protection) OR Through A Reputable Firm (which wont be the case for your friends as it was a pop up)
It Just Brings Home The Fact NEVER Enter Your Details ANYWHERE Unless You 100% Trust The Company x

HSBC
I claimed 3,121.93 incl. interest
They paid 2,300 + 120 court fee.
Sent 1st letter asking for refund on January 15th. Money was paid into my account today. I accepted less because I had set myself a bottom line should they make an offer and it met it. I had also forgotten to include about 300 pounds worth of refunds I had claimed on a few occasions! Maybe I should have stuck out for the whole lot but I am happy enough with this!
Good luck to everyone else!! x0 -
Hi all, Iv searched the forum but couldnt find any help on this. I want to claim back charges on my credit card for the last few years but also want to balance transfer to a 0% for a year and pay it all off. Is it possible to do both and if so, in what order. Can you claim back charges after a balance transfer?
Thanks in advance.0 -

Yes I Would Assume Its Just Like Claiming Back Charges Off A Closed Bank Account x0 -
Dear all,
I am currently in the process of claiming back nearly £1200.00 in bank charges from Natwest. I recieved a letter last week to say that my case had been forwarded to the Customer Relations Unit and that someone would be ringing me to talk about my case. I happened to phone them first and was told that they did not do 'call backs' and that the letter was misleading - obviously a tactic they use to fob you off :mad:0 -
