  • Thank you SO MUCH Martin Lewis!!!!!!!!!!!! :T I have just received a cheque for £849 from Alliance & Leicester and am OVER THE MOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Just waiting for Barclays now and their £1500!
  • Received £242 from Natwest yesterday which goes very nicely with the £120 from Barclays. Natwest tried to demand a £10 search fee which I patiently explained was not required as I was supplying them with all of the information (from old statements). They also 'lost' my first letter, which they then claimed they had replied to (tricky to reply to something when you haven't received it); further they said that my claim was being dealt with by an unidentified department!!
Re-sent my claim demanding signature on delivery and action within 14 days and they settled within the week for the full amount - Hooray!!
I've been telling everyone I know to do this and many are having equal success - many thanks Martin.

Rolling Total £550,582.68 - keep it going!

  • Hi

HUGE thanks to EdinburghGlass :T for help received so far, I have one more query though. I sent my initial letter to the address supplied in the addresses thread (address supplied : Penny Berryman,Senior Manager,Data Protection Dept,Lloyds TSB Bank PLC,The Pentagon,48, Chiswell Street,London ,EC1Y 4XX).

I telephoned this dept on Tuesday, only to be told that this was the wrong dept in which to send my letter to! Is this still the correct address despite what I was told?I'm more inclined to believe Martin and his helpers than Lloyds!

I will be sending afurther letter to Lloyds informing them that as I have not received my list of charges, I have no option butto report them to the Information Commissioner (scare tactics to get them to post them to me, as suggested by another helpful member), should I send this to the same above address that they told me was the incorrect one?

    Thank you
  • cruncher, cheque should be made payable to Abbey. (small aside, pictures etc aren't allowed in signatures and thats why it comes out as a link, can you remove it please as links aren't allowed either.)

chomps, its Edinburghlass, not glass :)

As the address given says they are the DP Dept any DP requests should in theory go there but if you find out different I will change the address list or at least add in another. It could be that they have set up a BC complaints dept.

Are you using the complaint letter that Rex wrote for this letter to Lloyd? Its linked to several times. Personally I would sent the letter to both addresses that way you cover all angles!

Send it to Lloyds HO then or check the addresses in the above post.
  • Hi,

I am just getting ready to send a letter off on behalf of my partner for the charges on his HOF store card.

He is sure that is was done through GE Capital Ltd. however, on his credit report, his store card is listed under the name C. L. Finance

Does this mean they have changed companies and if so, who do we write to as the account is now closed?

Has anyone else claimed from a HOF card?

    Thanks
