I am on the verge of going to small claims against Nat West. Sent them 7 day letter - which was up on Monday - saying would accept lesser amount of charges if they settled. Rang them Monday and was told would be put through to relevant dept and would get a call back within 48 hours. Have called them again today and been told again it is with relevant dept. Asked if I could be put through to that dept but they said not able to. Has anyone got any other number for Nat West than the one Im using now which is 0845 3030 456 - Im being told this is support team and they have forwarded to customer relations unit - appreciate any help - JNat West - MCOL March - FatWest defended - hearing date 4 July - 2300 claimed and still having charges put onto account!!
HSBC - sent 14 day - still waiting for reply. MCOL by end of week - claiming 795 - eventually paid out £560.
Halifax - sent for statements Feb - cheque cashed - nothing received - reported to FSA - paid up almost amount claimed before official complaint registered with FSA0 -

Hi everyone
Small victory I know.
This was a claim against charges on my credit card which only took one letter.
Bank of Scotland
Reclaimed £740
Offered refund of £372.50
Accepted this offer because I read somewhere that the credit card charges should be around £12.
This offer was for approx half the charges incurred, so I have accepted.
Please note on the acceptance form it states that this will be paid into the credit card account only but when I called them to explain that this account was now closed they told me to add a bit at the bottom explaining this and that I would accept payment by cheque.
Come everyone, GO FOR IT, what you got to lose.
Still in the running for my current account charges.Mortgage FREE as of March 2015
Cash Prize Win - £2000 in TV competition - WOW
Reclaimed £5872.50 in credit card & bank charges0 -

We are waiting for a court date in our BATTLE against Abbey. The account was closed in 2005 so yes you can claim on closed accounts.I think it puts you in a better position as they cannot threaten to close your account or hold you to ransom.Go get them and remember its your money!0 -

Read Martin's article, link in my signature, and then read post 4 in the Reclaim Help Thread link in my signature for what charges you can and can't claim.0 -
Hi all,
I sent my first letter 7/2/07 I received a reply on 13/2/07 saying we are sorry to hear about your complaint blar blar, and that they are comitted to resolve my complaint by 13/3/07.
I also hear that Barclays in particular have a policy of waiting for a court date before they settle. Do you guys think I should send the second letter even thought I don't know how much they owe me.
Or call them to let them know of thier stalling tactics and let them know its all in vein as I intend to see this to the bitter end.
It's just that I could realy use the extra cash asap0 -
Have you actually sent for your information/statements yet as I wonder when you say you don't know how much you are claiming for?
Follow the steps in Martin's article and use the letters therein as these are the tried and tested route.0
