  • Hi I have 2 Questions to ask...

    1) LloydsTSB - I have just been notified that Lloyds TSB Solicitors have filed a defence and having spoken with the court service i have been informed that the next step is that my case will be transfered to my local court and that i will recieve paperwork in the post shortly.... Does anyone have any experiance of what will happen next and has anyone gone through this with Lloyds and what was the outcomes.....

    2) I had a natwest account that i closed some point last year and have nothing with my sort code or account numbers on and have made numerous calls to Natwest call centers and branches all telling me that can find no details of me on any system....i am definatly not dreaming....i DID have a nat west account and want to start action to recover but can not even get as far as requesting statements from them.......

Thanking you all in advance for any help i may recieve...

  • Hi All

I'm just about to start the ball rolling to claim back my bank charges. I'm one of the sad people who have kept all their bank statements for the last 10 years and have been through them all for the last 6 years. I'm now at the stage where I'm going to be sending the template letter off to the lovely people at RBS demanding my money back but in the letter, it says I will be including a breakdown of these charges. Can I just knock up a spreadsheet showing charges, date, amount etc or do I need to photocopy every statement showing the charges?

Check the Lloyds bank thread for other users experiences and read this thread for the Allocation Questionnaire which is the paperwork you will receive.

Send the letter asking for your charges although with your name, any relevant addresses and your date of birth and they should be able to trace your account.

Do a spreadsheet showing each charge with date and description as you may need this later or put each charge through the Interest Calculator and print out and this will calculate the interest for you.

Edited to add it seems the people at RBS are indeed lovely and treat them politely and you will get a good offer.
  • Bank: HSBC
    Amount claimed: 714.50
    Amount received: 909.30! (714.50 + interest + moneyclaim fee)

Hi everyone, I'd encourage everyone to do this! It was really easy and very painless. I followed Martin's instructions on the site and it couldn't have been easier. I was really scared when the bank submitted a defence towards to my court claim, but less than a week later they offered me the partial amount. I sent them a very nice letter saying 'no deal' and less than a week after that they offered the full amount, plus interest and court fees! I said yes, and about a week later the money was paid into my account!

I sent my first letter 22nd November, and other than some waiting around and a few nerves it's been simple! I am now helping my friends and family to do the same.

Stick to your guns and get the full amount! It only two an extra two weeks! If they will give it to me, they will give it to anyone!

Thanks so much to Martin and the consumer action group! If you do your homework on what Martin says and stick to your guns, you can win! Good luck everyone and thanks to everyone on the message boards as well for inspiring me to go on!

  • I did a couple of posts panicking about the dates that 'Judgement by Default' could be made.
    I had replies to both...Thanks.
However, in the post this morning I received a letter from court, with all details, even the date that I can apply for Judgement, etc.
So if anyone is worried about dates and stuff...there will a letter from the court arriving soon after you have filed on MCOL......Doh !! Pretty obvious really.

    Thanks for support.
