I am Just looking through my bank statements again and have realised that I have only claimed for 5 years and not 6, I Know i am a dumbhead!!!!!
Total original claim plus interest is approx £2000 addittional charges not claimed are approx £260 before interest. Barclays have made me an offer based on my original £2k claim of £900. Do i have any chance to add the extra £260 plus interest?, can i use this info when writing to refuse offer? Can i start over?? Also what is the experiance of people dealing with Barclays, do they respond to to a telephone call or a letter offering to take a reduced fee for a quick settlement
All Comments greatfully received
is it me or am i just asking really dumb questions???0 -
I sent my online moneyclaim yesterday and paid £50 but now I have just noticed that because I get working tax credit I am exempt from paying the fee. I know I will get it back from Barclays if I win so should I just wait for it back then or what?0

Luca I think it would be ok to amend the amount in your next letter to them but its up to you if you want to take the reduced amount. I am claiming from Barclays and they offered me just under 50% which I declined.0 -

When the charges are refunded do they have to be a bank transfer to the account they refer to (a joint account which I no longer have) or can you specifically request a cheque or a different bank account?
I'll be damned if I do all the work and the money gets refunded to my ex's account!!
The account in question is Natwest and I still have a current account there.
Generally they will refund into the account you are claiming on so make it clear from the start that you wish a cheque.0 -
Can we claim for a sprained ankle for posting the letter to the banks.
Well, had i not claimed I would not of been hit by a push bike and twisted my ankle.

Bank: LLoyds TSb
Amount Claimed:£525
Amount Won:£620
Don't ask me why they've refunded more than I asked for:beer:
Sent second letter and 2 weeks later response refunding £620 to our account.
Like others on this site I felt a prat for asking for this money back - after all it really was our own fault that we were overdrawn. However we are now dealing with our debts. This was step one. Intelligent Finance see you in court!!
Rolling Total £420,878.53 - Keep it going!0 -
