I cannot believe this, this has to be the fastest settlement in history. I sent my letter to MBNA Credit card, requesting statements on 01.02.07.
I had already worked out the total charges to be £670, but thought i would get copies of statements just in case.
Well anyway, today they turned up with a cheque enclosed for £670 being full and final settlement. That's without me even asking for it. :j
Maybe they paid it because it was so low, or maybe they just eeny, miney mo each letter they receive. Who knows but i would like to say a big thank you to everyone who is helping me with Natwest, Capital One and Birmingham Midshires.
Keep up the good work and good luck to all who are claiming.

First Direct - £1044 claimed
£890 offered and accepted
Not the full amount but enough of a carrot for me! Took 2 letters. Thanks to the this site for letting me know it was possible and the template letters, thanks to Consumer Action Group for the information on their site which made me feel I could take them all the way to court if I had to.
Tell everyone you know about this!

I've just had my claim of £3787.16 paid in full. :T
It took a while, nearly 3 months in all. I had to fight them all the way.
However, it has all been worth it.
*high fives all round*

Claimed - £1989.88 plus interest £301.01
Offered - £1989.88
Accepted - £1989.88
Saturday 10th was the date to submit my online court claim but telephoned NATWEST this morning for an update on my claim and was told there was a delay because I was claiming interest as well. I was offered all charges without interest over the phone after about 20 seconds and after thinking about it for 1 second decided to say YES.
So thank you to everyone who has offered help on this site especially wondabrasjg (nearly crawled into a corner and gave up).

Well, after success with my partner's claim against BoS, I sent letter one from the CAG site to Woolwich asking for £100 (have normally always rung and got them refunded straight away but I checked back and these ones had stood) - got a letter back 10 days or so later offering me £200!! Needless to say I have accepted!!

Alliance and Leicester
£301.70 claimed (incl court fee £30.00 and interest)
£301.70 paid
A+L fobbed me off with my first two letters, then they offered me £50. I wrote again asking for details using the Data protection act - they ignored this. I threatened court proceedings and they still ignored my letters. So I used all the old statements I could find and claimed £271 plus court fees. This was the amount I could prove with the statements I had and I doubt there would have been much more if I had pursued the Data Protection act.
The court papers were issed on 5/2/07 and I received a cheque for full amount today 12/2/07 with no admission of liability etc etc.
Thank you Martin, you've made a real difference!
