alliance and leicester paid up!!!! £2687.67 including interest and costs!!!!
just wanted to say thanks to martin. this is dead straightforward, just follow his guide to reclaiming BY THE LETTER and you cannot go wrong. I filed a claim on moneyclaim (county court) on th26th jan and today received a letter from alliance and leicester's solicitors saying that essentially they dont owe me a bean BUT they have paid IN FULL as its not worth going to court!0 -
Bank: Lloyds TSB
Amount claimed: £975.12
Amount paid: £975.12
Story:
We started this claim back in August and Lloyds have dragged their heels since then. Received a letter saying they refused to pay and would have no more correspondence with us so filed small claim. They instructed solicitors who wrote a very snippy letter saying our claim was "embarassing". We have refused to be browbeaten by them and today, only a week before court hearing was due, they have settled in full.
To everyone out there - don't give up - it can be done0 -
Had a problem with Alliance & Leicester my wife acts as attorney for her mother. Wife issued three cheques for totalling just under £14000 before transferring sufficient funds from one account to another both with A & L.
Lo & behold they charge £34 for each cheque = £102.00 using your templates we sent the first claiming this amount back, they replied "no chance" we then used second template stating that we were going to County Court they replied by return offering 50%. We settlled for that after all the mistake was of our making.
Extremely grateful for the guidance:T0 -
