Bank: Royal Bank Of Scotland
Amount Reclaimed: £6900
Amount they paid: £5761
The story: Wrote to my bank just before Christmas asking for list of all charges which I received first week of January. Then sent the request listing all the charges as per the instructions on this website. I received a letter 1 week ago telling me that they considering my request which I thought was a stalling tactic. I still had not heard anything as of yesterday and was going to write the court action letter but no need. I received a letter from my bank this morning offering to settle which I have accepted.
I am ecstatic and have yet again been sorted out by the excellent advice given by Martin and his website. Fan-flipping-tastic!:beer:0 -

Barclays Bank
Amount claimed £1225
Amount Paid £1000
Initially offered £630 after first letter but this was upped to £1000 after one more letter from me maintaining more be paid. I admit my part in going overdrawn in the first place so don't mind them keeping the £225! Can't belive how quick their response has been throughout, normally within 5 days of sending letter. Thanks to this site and all the great advice I'm going to pay off my credit card & overdrafts!0 -
Hi
Bank paid up claimed 1844.34 === Paid 1844.34
after 7 days.
Recieved cheque through their solicitors, gave the impression that I should not be charged at all which is not the case. I do expect a charge but not nearly £60 every month a direct or standing order fails.
Also a threat that Alliance & Leicester would be contacting me on future operation seems from the wording that their is a possibility of the account been closed down.

Hi,
Small amount I know but £30 this morning from Lloyds TSB.
I telephoned them as recommended and explained that I have been a good customer for twelve years and this is not something that happens to me very often.
After a half hour phone call while he tried to 'save' me more money with increased loan repayments, increased overdraft, a 'better' account (with higher monthly charges) and even accepting a credit card. They gave me the goodwill gesture of cancelling the fee if I promised not to go overdrawn again for twelve months or accept any forthcoming fee associated.
I did accept receiving information on the credit card but I have no intention of filling in the application form and returning it. I want less debt, not more!
