    Asked Lloyds TSB for £2100.00

Got back every penny after starting court proceedings were started.

Also got back all interest and court fees, so £2600 altogether :)

Many Thanks for everyones help. For those who are dealing with Lloyds, just be patient. I had to pay the £100 court allocation fee and do the court allocation questionnaire and they paid up a few days later. STICK IT OUT! Its worth it!

  • Hi just thought I would pass on that this morning my son got a result from Natwest. Sent the 3rd letter to them Thursday and got a letter this morning(Sat) saying that they did not agree to the complaint and that the charges were for providing service and the charges are "fair, reasonable and transparent ". BUT as a gesture of goodwill they would refund £704 (but not the interest) without admission of liability or error. So hang on in there and hopefully you to will get back your money.
On behalf of my son THANK YOU MARTIN, couldn't have done it without your help (step by step help)

I put in every charge I incurred for the past six years. They rejected one (and I missed several!) but I was happy to accept what they paid, as this was money that was missing from my account. I WILL sleep tonight.

Tomorrow I move on to GE Capital Bank.:j :j

  • I've just received notification from the largest (in terms of capitalisation) bank in the UK that they are going to pay me £90, instead of the £45 I asked them for,on the basis of one letter for going overdrawn a miniscule amount over several days. Of course, I had to sign that I would not divulge any information about their kindness. Best of all is that the account has been closed over a year and it took me 5 minutes, using the templates, to earn a bonanza!!
  • Bank: Halifax
    Amount Claimed: £840.31
    Amount Received: £920.31

First and second letters ignored, so we took them to court via Money Claim Online. The amount received includes the £80 court fee. Halifax paid up just after the 14 days receipt of claim - yippee!!

Big thank you to both Martin and Consumer Action Group - we would never of had the guts if it wasn't for the letter templates and good advice!

  • Bank: LLOYDSTSB
    Amount claimed: £237
    Amount paid: £267

    Hi all
Just wanted to say don't be put off trying to claim from LloydsTSB - I managed to claim back £237 + claim cost from them! I wrote all the initial letters etc, first quite nice, then threatening legal action, still no joy. So I put in a small claims through the county court (cost £30) and won! They paid the money straight into my bank account too - bonus. Very happy!
So my advice - go for it!
