    Hi,
How would i find out what court to use to put in my 2nd letter to bank. Would it just be my local court?? ie Falkirk Sheriff Court??
  • Yes..........
  • Bank HSBC
    Amount Claimed - £1189.69 (£917 charges + £272.69 Interest)
    Refunded - £1023

I sent them two letters and they offered me £1023.00 immediately! I could have pushed for the whole lot, but was happy with that offer, for the little effort I put in. WARNING - The acceptance letter had to be returned within 10 days of date. The date on the letter was 18/1/07 but post mark said it was posted 7.45pm on 23/1/07, so be warned, and dont leave it too long before you reply!! Good Luck

    On behalf of my son
    Bank : Abbey
    Amount claimed : £150.00
    Amount received : £100.00

Very quick and painless experience - wrote the first letter got a response, I followed it straight away by sending second letter, it took 21 days in total.
Dicided to settle for the lower amount as his credit rating is poor and did not want them to close his account, at least £100 extra in his bank has made him happy!!!

Still waiting for second reply from Nat West, if I dont here today, second letter will follow.
LUCK COMES TO THOSE WHO WAIT PATIENTLY :)

If you submitted your claim online, you can check the status of your claim by logging onto the MCOL site. If the bank enters a defence, you have to sit and wait for the court to send you an allocation questionnaire.

Your local branch will be fine. They will forward the letter onto any relevent department. Send the letters by signed for delivery.

Just checked and it said 'start' so I clicked on it and it is asking me to select type of judgement - default or admission - common sense tells me default but would like confirmation??????
