Be careful holding out for interest as well as you are not legally entitled to it unless it goes to court. Use it more as a bargaining tool eg, they owe you say £1000 plus interest of say £100. In LBA, say that you be willing to accept full amount minus interest otherwise you will take them to court. Tends to work.
    Bank charges reclaimed: HSBC £1990

    2007 Competition Challenge: Target £150
So far...£373.48 (MS Office 2007 Professional Edition) and a rizla tin

  • Just recieved a letter from hsbc offering me £319 to settle the case.:T :T :j

I had only sent the first letter requesting that they did! Cant believe that i did even need to send the second letter that would really threatern court action!

I was after £363.32 with intrest included, so i think ill take £319 as its only 40 or quid difference !

Thanks all for the information that i used!

Now i think it CitiCard and Halifaxs turn to get the wallets out!:T :rotfl:
