Just to speak a wee bit about where I am at with my claim against The Clydesdale, and hopefully I am on track, and somebody will tell me if I'm not!
I sent my first letter asking for £2087.10 which includes interest.Usual fob off. Sent second letter giving further 14 days etc. Now at MCOL stage with deadline now passed, but I did get a cheque for £966.25 as final offer, which I sent back, refusing to accept, with a covering letter saying I would continue with Court Action. The deadline was actually today and they have sent the same cheque back again today, saying their position remains the same etc!
So just need to confirm my next move please... Do I sit tight until the Court gets in touch?
Also, I posted some threads before about my worries of claiming from England to Scotland etc. and Moneyclaim saying my claim would be null and void (despite taking my £120.00 and STILL processing my claim! Bizzarre...) But I have since realised that my Clydesdale chummies have offices in London and Cambridge! Therefore meeting the criteria of having addresses in England? Info that I am about to email to Moneyclaim.
So am I ok thus far, or am I missing anything!?
Thanks in anticipation.

If you have issued your claim, you need to sit tight now and see how the bank is going to respond. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

I have a list of my bank charges back from my bank. However it includes lots of small ammounts (under £10.00 for "o/draft interest"). Should I include these in my calculation sheet ( are these the normal account costs refered to in the article) Or should i just request the larger summs of £30.00+ for "o/draft excess fee"0

You can't include your overdraft interest. See post #4 in THIS THREAD to see which charges you can claim. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

... so quick question, I have 2 accounts there, 1 was a single account, the other a joint account.
Do I send 1 joint letter covering both accounts or 1 letter per account???
Thanks0 -

One letter including both account numbers is fine. It is OK for you to claim the charges off the joint account just in your name. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Hi everyone
I successfully claimed charges back from Halifax a few weeks back.
We've had another charge applied to the account. Not our fault, honest!
Southern Water normally take their £6.50 on around the 1st of each month, as they did this month. For some reason, they took another £6.50 on the 24th and then refunded it again on 25th so assuming it's a mistake on their part. The problem is, it sent us 37p over our authorised overdraft and so we've been charged £30.
I'm so angry. Do you think I have a right to request Southen Water pay that charge? I don't think I'll be able to take it up with the bank will I?
Thanks for any advice,

Definately take this up with Southern Water. Their mistake has cost you £30! I would fully expect them to refund this charge. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
