Reclaimed Bank Charges SUCCESS stories

I have successfully reclaimed charges from a number of banks over the last few months, amounts ranging from £25 to £1500. Out of 7 claims, 5 did not even go to court. Filed 2 claims - A& L and Barclays. Alliance & Leicester settled before the hearing date was set but Barclays have actually filed their defence. I now have to file and serve individual statement but I need some guidance here. Has anybody done this before and what did they put in their individual statement - just particulars of claim or some addidtional info - if yes, what exactly? Can I include extracts from media reports? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.0

Hello there
I have looked till I am blue in the face but cannot find anywhere a letter to send to the credit card company asking for payment of late fees.
Is there such a one? i have tried to adapt the current account one.
Can you tell me if this letter sounds ok or if i need to tweak it. I am not sure if what I am quoting is relevant for Credit Card Companies.
Many thanks:
Many thanks for providing me with a full history of transactions over the last 6 years. I am writing to request that you repay all the late payment charges that have been applied to my account. I do not believe these charges reflect the true cost to Tesco Personal Finance.
I now understand that the regime of fees which you have been applying to my account in relation to late payment fees are unlawful at Common Law, Statute and recent consumer regulations. If you say they are not, will you please demonstrate this by letting me have a full breakdown of the costs to which you have been put as a result of my breaches, in order to reassure me that your penalties really do reflect your costs. Additionally it has now been confirmed that your particularly high level of penalties are considered to be unfair per se by the OFT who reported on 5th April 2006 and are therefore presumed to be unlawful in the absence of specific proof to the contrary.
The charges come to a total of £154. I therefore ask that you repay me the full amount of £154. I have attached a full schedule of the charges with this document.
I hope that you will enter into a sincere dialogue with me about this matter and I am writing this letter to you on the assumption that you will prefer to do this than merely respond with standard letters and leaflets.
I look forward to a full response to this letter within 14 days.
Yours faithfully,0 -

Abbey
Claimed: £355.00
Offer: £355.00
Actions:
22 Dec 06: Sent first letter requesting repayment of charges as above
08 Jan 07: Acknowledgement of letter saying it will take four weeks to look into the matter
09 Jan 07 - Second Letter telling them was taking them to court in a further 14 days unless I got my money back
26 Jan 07: Received offer letter for £355.00
Result - from reading other peoples issues with Abbey thought I was in for a bumpy ride - but nope! - all done and dusted.
Cheers everyone (esp Martin) for the suggestions.0 -
Hi guys,
Does anyone have any experience of dealing with Marbles (HFC Bank)? I could have sworn I have seen some info about them on this forum but it seems to have disappeared. Any ideas?0 -

Hi there, I have just been totalling up my charges and interest with the calculator, do I then charge 8% on top of that or is the calculator already doing that for me?
Also, can I claim back further than 6 years? I know I can't get bank statements over 6 years old.
Many Thanks0 -
I have started claiming from Lloyds TSB for the last 6 years but during the mad 80's the banks (Barclays & Lloyds) took over £3000 in charges from my business accounts, any chance I can claim any of it back ???0
