Or should I leave it as they have paid me and they haven’t closed my account. And they didn’t send me any conditions for me to sign just paid the money into my account £3,000 couldn’t believe it
You cant claim for the interest. You are only entitled to this once you issue a court claim. The bank has paid you 100% of what you are entitled to at this stage. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Hard to say. All the banks are reacting differently to this. There is a possibility that your bank may ask you to close your account sometime in the future because of this. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

All
I sent the first letter to Bank of Scotland and they offered to pay half of the claims on telephone. No written confirmation from the Bank. I intend to post the second letter threatening to take them to court unless they settle in full. However I am stuck with the bit that says "INSERT NAME OF COURT". I live in Erith, Kent. Any idea of which courtname to insert?
Thank-you0 -

I don't know if this has already been posted (I haven't got the time to go through 64 pages of posts!!) but here's an interesting bulletin from the Banking Code Standards Board to all members' (i.e. banks)Compliance Officers.

In summary, it says that if a customer has claimed back unfair charges, it is likely (though not in all cases) that the individual is in financial difficulty and therefore should be treated sympathetically.
I hope this helps when negotiating your refunds.

We made a claim against NatWest on behalf of my partner who had incurred £350 in charges which they have repaid without so much as a whimper even though she has a graduate overdraft facility with them:j :j0

Can anyone clarify whether I have a foot to stand on in terms of getting my charges repaid?
I currently have outstanding balances on both a loan and a credit card with an internet bank (I think they may even have been sold on to debt recovery agencies).
I am worried that they will now ask for the full amount outstanding on both the loan and the credit card.
Has anybody else had any experience with this?
I also have bank accounts, now closed, which I would like to claim back from. Barclays (to whom I owe about £1000) I think passed on my details as well to a debt recovery agency and it remains unpaid.
I would hate to shoot myself in the foot by making a big fuss about this (I am aware that all will have to be repaid, i just can't at the moment, i'd be happy in fact to use any money gained through this to pay off my outstanding debts)
Thanks to anyone able to helpGettting there!

Sent DPA letter, they sent statements, I went through them, sent off the prelim letter, they offered £3165, I said no, I'll take it to court, sent my LBA, no response, I issued my MCOL, they acknowledged it 8 Jan, then paid up today, just as I was getting twitchy!
Thanks to the Consumer Action Group, and all the success stories on here that made me keep going and holding out for the full amount.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
