oneskintdad wrote:Hi..can u help..I have been trying to reclaim £2150 from lloyds t,s,b..
After sending the second template letter i received a letter saying they were paying £750 into my account as a goodwill gesture and no other corepondance would be entered into...Should i take the next step and take them to court...Or risk losing everything....HELP......
It is up to you if you want to accept their offer. You can reply saying you will accept their offer in partial settlement and will now be proceeding to court.0 -
Sent 1st letter to Leeds Service centre on 2nd January 14 Days up yesterday
when i got home there was a nice letter from Mr Langdale making an offer
i claimed £2200 (+600 interest) and got back £1890 (roughly 85%).
Got put through to own branch today (first time in years) to ask how it is made up and was told
a) it is not shown on your banking record (although may do when they receive your accpetance)
b)They have had to set up a seperate office and team in Leeds to cope with all the claims.
Nice to know that Martin has helped reduce unemployment
A very happy customer
P.s from latest offers posted from HSBC seems around 85% of amount claimed is what they are offering0 -

Have a read of the HSBC thread for people's experiences with them.

I am new to this and need an expert!
:A I wrote to the Shabbey National claiming £999 for the past 6 years. Since then, the !!!!!!s have charged me another extortionate £150! I am about to file a claim on Moneyclaim online, do I need to stick to theoriginal £999 I claimed in my letter to Abbey, or can I legitimately add the charges that have accrued since the letter was sent? I think I should be able to claim all, but if anyone has any advice I would appreciate it as I want to file the claim today! Many thanks

As long as your figures are now accurate you can add the charges at this stage.0

Thanks Edinburgh! I appreciate your reply.
I forgot to ask also: I filed my first letter to Abbey in December. They did not reply within 14 days. Does the 14 day rule apply only when they get the court letter, or does it apply if they don't reply to your initial letter?
I guess the former - but do you know for sure?
Many thanks!

Freedom of Information Act Question.
Halifax have until tomorrow to send me my previous statements that I requested. I have given them 40 days from my last letter to them.
I previously sent them a letter to which I got a reply saying you haven't supplied enough info to which I replied.
Whats the next stage?0
