  • Hi There
I have sent my 2 letters and LBA to HSBC for £3365. Started court proceedings 21.12.2006, HSBC defended claim via DG solicitors 24.12.2006.
I have had an offer for £2000, which I have formally declined.
I am due to go into hospital 17.01.2007 for an op and will be in for approx 5 days. Do I need to let the court or DG know I will be unavailable during this time?
I was hoping HSBC would have got back to me by now with a reasonable offer!!
Hope someone can shed some light.
    Cheers Roni.

  • amount requested £1800, amount recieved £920 from barclays.:T :T :T :T
Waited over 4 weeks for bank statements, sent off my first letter got a reply 3 days later saying sorry i wasnt happy with their service and i would hear something within 3 weeks, then 2 days after that they wrote and said without accepting any liability, as a good will gesture they would offer me £920, i thought about it and well my account is overdrawn by a fair bit as i never managed my account that well i couldnt be bothered stringing it out and ive gone with natwest now so im trying to get rid of barclays so i accepted the money it was in the bank day later so not bad for 1 letter, thanks to this site i have got rid of barclays

When you use moneyclaim online the claim starts at Northampton then when you receive the allocation questionnaire it will be transferred to your local court, and if it hasn’t there is a section on the form to request the case to heard at your local court
  • Ive just found threads which explain why its gone to Northampton.!!!! Phew! Do I just sit back and wait now or should I send anything to my bank or courts...sorry but I am getting a bit twitchy now!

Thank you for reply, I'll give them a bell tomorrow.
In the meantime do you think I show fill out the allocation questionaire, just in case HSBC don't make an offer?

I would wait until you speak to them tomorrow if I was you and see what they say, on section f of the allocation questionnaire it asks about dates you cant not attend in the next four months I would put the dates there and send it off but check with the helpline first
