Hi There
I have sent my 2 letters and LBA to HSBC for £3365. Started court proceedings 21.12.2006, HSBC defended claim via DG solicitors 24.12.2006.
I have had an offer for £2000, which I have formally declined.
I am due to go into hospital 17.01.2007 for an op and will be in for approx 5 days. Do I need to let the court or DG know I will be unavailable during this time?
I was hoping HSBC would have got back to me by now with a reasonable offer!!
Hope someone can shed some light.

amount requested £1800, amount recieved £920 from barclays.:T :T :T :T
Waited over 4 weeks for bank statements, sent off my first letter got a reply 3 days later saying sorry i wasnt happy with their service and i would hear something within 3 weeks, then 2 days after that they wrote and said without accepting any liability, as a good will gesture they would offer me £920, i thought about it and well my account is overdrawn by a fair bit as i never managed my account that well i couldnt be bothered stringing it out and ive gone with natwest now so im trying to get rid of barclays so i accepted the money it was in the bank day later so not bad for 1 letter, thanks to this site i have got rid of barclays0 -
