Have just phoned regulatory risk asking why I have not received my statements.
The woman on the phone took my details and said she would check my 2nd letter had been delivered to Alex Lyons in Edinburgh. She put me on hold and when she came back said the letter hadn't arrived. I then quite happily told her I had sent it by recorded delivery and that I had checked the royal mail website which said it was delivered on the 3rd January ( SO WOULD ADVISE ANYONE TO SEND LETTERS BY RECORDED AND KEEP YOUR RECEIPT). She then went quiet and put me on hold again. When she came back this time took my phone number and said she would look into it today. So am waiting for a phone call.......
Would still appreciate some advice though0 -

Do exactly what you said you will. Give them until the end of today then report them to the Information Commissioner.0 -
I wish to start proceedings for the return of my money but have a loan with Loans Direct who are owned by Lloyds, I am very worried that they will call in this loan if I am successful and also that they would be legally entitled to do so.
I would be grateful if anyone could help me with this0 -
Can anyone tell me what happens once I have reported to the information commissioner. Would I still be able to use the same claim process.
Help appreciated.0 -
Bank Halifax
Amount Claimed £360.00
Amount they paid: £332.00
I sent first letter claiming £360.00 got a reply say they would not refund any money. 1 phone call without any joy, told them I was going to start court proceedings. About to send LBA letter, recieved a letter offering £332.00.
The whole process took 5 Weeks
I am now starting other claims with TSB.
Thanks Martin0 -

Yeah, suppose thats a fair point! Thanks for replying anyway:T The more money i save, the quicker i can buy my Audi0 -
Rex_Mundi wrote:Not a good idea to issue your court claim before you go away. You need to be around to deal with your claim. If you receive your allocation questionnaire while you are away, you won't be around to fill it in and return it to the court (this form has a date that you must reply by). This could lead to your claim being struck out.
I would leave it at the moment, and issue a court claim when you get back. The alternative is to nominate someone to act as a third party for you, so they can continue your claim while you are away. You would need to give them written permission for this and make the bank, and the court aware of this.:T The more money i save, the quicker i can buy my Audi0 -
Help!
Can somebody please confirm that I'm ok to pursue Bank of Scotland at their Edinburgh Head Office? Scotland has separate laws and since I haven't heard anything yet following my 14 day letter I'm a bit concerned.
I've sent off the 7 day letter and will see what happens.
My claim (that includes interest) is £5600 - would it be less risky (and easier) if I tried for the net amount and did it through MoneyClaim?
Also, I've had a few more charges in the last week - when can i add these on?
Help very very appreciatedLou0 -
Any Advice please, I have accepted an offer on my charges dated upto October 06, once I receive the money into my account, am I ok to put a new claim in for charges from november to date, its only £120, but its better in my account then theirs, can anyone tell me if this is ok to do (putting 2 claims on 1 account).
Thanks0
