(Paranoia is beginning to set in :)New phone (orange contract) purchased on a 'Price Match Deal' from e2s on 16th June 2007.Connected on 18th June 2007 Ist Bill dated 19th June I will be sending in my 5th bill which will be dated 19th October 2007.In your valued opinion is this correct ?Would you also recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery for my claim ?Thanking You JJ
  • Correct. October bill to reach them by 14th (to be safe) November. SD is your choice. I never use that but it is better if you want to spend the extra x 5.

    Yes Lynsey, my bill date is one day after the connection anniversary, and it is an E2S O2 pricematch.

    I know your bills aren't April/May, I was just using that as a simple example - based on a January 1st connection date, so it is as clear as possible to understand.

    Give me your connection date, and the dates of all your bills (where it actually says BILL DATE on the bill, not any other date you may see on there!), and I will tell you exactly which bill to send, and exactly when to send it.

    I'm sorry if you thought I implied you were confusing the issue, I think we all are adding to the pot of confusion a little. But that serves E2S very well!

    As you asked, here are my dates:

    Connection: 3 Sep 2007.
    Bill date printed on the front of the bill which i will send in my first claim: 4 Jan 2008.

  • Yes, provided you get it there by about 11th October assuming you ordered on 13th May. Better watch out for the impending postal strikes; they are likely to hit harder and for longer this time so you'd better post it NOW!

    My phone was brought 3rd July on Pricematch O2 from e2save. My billing day is 14 of each month. I have worked out 120 days is 30th October.

    Do I sent the Bill which I recieve on the 14/10, which covers 14/10-14/11, which will cover the line rental billing for the 30th October or the November bill which will cover any calls I make that day.:confused:

  • Once and for all; the period ANY bill covers is totally irrelevant. Which bill depends entirely on 1) which set of t&c you're attempting to meet 2) which ones the company decides to use at the time (THIS keeps changing) and 3) whether you can get it their on time (and "on time" depends on which t&c etc!).     At the risk of sounding intolerant, I can't answer every single detailed question - many are based on incorrect assumptions and insufficient information in any case. People really need to get to grips with how this works - they did choose these deals in the first place and there have been many warnings about them leading up to the first claim periods. There are 4 more claims to make for each person, so you need to work it out. If I give an answer to the last question I would need to make assumptions and qualify it and it would take just as long to answer (times x number of others who ask) as it did to write this!).

    The T&Cs say the bill which is dated around 120 days after connection. So you need to send the 14 Nov bill.

    Forget everything you know about bill PERIODS, it is just the bill DATE you need to concentrate on.
