Netherside, you can also send back your Sept. bill, but NOT until the 4th Oct. so as they can't receive it before 5th Oct (your full 4 months). This is of course if it hasn't been "torn up"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Within days of getting my new contract phone thro' e2save it went wrong; they were great over the phone and within days I had a new one. Even got my postage reimbursed.
Having read the problems some have had over cashbacks I wrote to Claims at Crewe and asked for exact confirmation of my dates. Not expecting a reply, I did receive a prompt, full and very helpful reply.
So far, so good - so its cup half full, not half empty.
.... and no I do not work for CPW or any subsidiary.0 -
Hi, i'm a newbi on this forum but I am glad I read up a bit before sending my cashback to e2s.
I think I have the gist of it but could someone please check this for me,
connection date 15/06/07
1st bill covers 15/06 to 18/07
2nd bill 19/07 to 18/08
3rd bill 19/08 to 18/09
4th bill 19/09 to 18/10 so i send this off as it covers the 15/10 when i have been connected for 4mths but they will only except this if they get it after the 15/10, so i only have 4 days to get it to them not the 30days they imply in t & c
Its a pricematch deal and I downloaded the vouchers so I have to send it to crewe cw2 8we don't I. I also need to supply a copy of my 1st bill as I ported my number!
never expected it to be easy but the too early thing would have got me!
correct or not???
thanks0 -
Hi Mobilejunkie,
I ordered a phone from e2save thro’ pricematch deal on 19 June 07. It was on Orange network and the phone was not connected till 6 Sep 2007. I had to chase up with Orange and E2save when I discovered that I was not connected. The number was successfully connected on 6 Sep 2007. I was told by Orange that I will receive my first bill for this number on 1 Oct 2007.
The 4 months from the date of purchase is on 19 Oct 07 but I am connected only from 6 Sep 07 and my first bill for this number will be on 01 Oct 07. So, which bill should I send in for my 120 days claim now?
Also, I have been reading through the forums and especially your posts and you have mentioned in a number of topics about OSPS cashback process. But, I couldn’t get to the exact forum wherein you have actually explained them.
I have got a pricematch offer with OSPS as well. So, it would be very helpful, if someone please please post the way the OSPS cashback process works or give a link to the exact post . There are loads of helpful information from mobilejunkie all over this forum but the process is really confusing and I couldn’t locate the exact post by mobilejunkie which actually talks about this.
I have been reading through the messages for more than 3 hrs now but, I couldn’t get around this. I really appreciate your help on this.
Many thanks

You have got the gist of things zooks. Seems ok to me.
You also have the option of sending in your 5th bill 19/10 - 18/11.

No Zooks - if you have the T&Cs which say your first claim must be at 120 days after connection, then you have got to send the bill which arrives around 15/10. That will be your FIFTH bill, but will be at 120 days after connection.
As Mobile Junkie has said, read the EXACT words of YOUR T&Cs. To some extent, whatever we say on here is irrelevant and confusing. Read your T&Cs, understand them and follow them and NOTHING else.
There is a very good reason this company is using many different sets of T&Cs - so that when we give advice to each other, we are relying on different sets of documents which don't even apply to us.
Be careful, and do your research, or you'll end up very unhappy.0 -
urban is correct in fact. I will try to clarify a few points since I was away.
Firstly, yatin123. I have sent you some pm's about this. If you can send them your November bill as soon as you get it - to arrive with them by 18th November - preferably a few days earlier and remember the postal strikes - that may well be the best bet (depending on the information I asked you for). In view of what you last told me in a pm that advice might change. I wouldn't put the information on public display. I will explain why when you clarify in a pm exactly what you have done with regard to my suggestions.
Generally; the price-match t&c have NOTHING to do with the "period a bill covers". Let's knock THAT one on the head immediately! It is all to do with a) when you ordered the phone b) the connection date c) the bill DATES - not the NUMBER.
Now, there are two basic t&c here. They are saying you use the calendar anniversary of a) at 4 months etc for the 30 day CLAIM WINDOW. Any bill you send in that window must be no older than 28 days when it arrives. People will have to use their brains to work things out using THAT set of t&c, according to their own particular dates etc. However, that is NOT the t&c people signed up to. THEY are that you need to send the first bill that arrives which is dated 120 days etc after CONNECTION - within 30 days of ITS date. THAT means you can meet BOTH sets of t&c BUT I have reckoned for quite some time that about 50% will meet one set and not the other because of the network they are mainly on and the ways the bills work. In that case the company will decline ALL your cashbacks for being late but (of course) under the legal t&c in some circumstances claim the bill is too early (not saying that but a danger). NOW...
The fall-back position are legal terms and conditions. If anyone gets it wrong BUT has met those they can sue for ALL the cashback - PROVIDED they've followed my groundrules - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=558661
I am going to post part of this on that thread so I don't have to repeat it a thousand times on several different ones as usual! Lol!0 -
I agree that there seems to be 2 sets of T&C's or at least 2 ways to claim.
There also seems to be a difference between claim 1 and other claims.
Claim 1 asks for;
Instalment 1: - Send us the claim form and original monthly bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff you are connected on, that arrives showing you have been connected for 4 months. i.e. if you were purchased on the 1st of January, you need to send in the bill that is dated around the 1st of May. This is 120 days (4 months) after connection. See porting below
Other claims ask for;
Send us the claim form and original monthly bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff you are connected on, dated 180 days (6 months) after purchase.
Twice e2save via phone have clarified what they expect/accept or indeed how they interprete the T&C's.
Personally I think it's great that they will accept the earlier bill when the 4 months kick in, but will they accept the others the same way?????????
The quicker the claims kick-in, the quicker any problems which may arise can be sorted. Also if an early claim is sent, then a £10 penalty is charged. This is not a major thing as you then know which bill is correct, or you should.
Sending in the later bills late would invalidate all future cashbacks, although this is unfair and could be challenged.
Second and future claims need clarification, but I hope they accept claims/bills for 6-8-10 and 12 months the same way as the first.
I'm more than happy to send in the claims in the way they ask, this SHOULD give fewer problems, who knows??? The less chasing up and giving threatening letters the better for all.
This is still a teething period for e2save claims and only time will tell. Until it goes "pear shaped" they will have the benefit of doubt.
An easier way perhaps of claiming is to send in the bills immediately AFTER connection of months 4-6-8-10-12, but they have put a time scale on receiving these claims and they would have to be submitted right. Any late claims??? well we know the answer to that.
Looking forward to the future and seeing how it goes, good luck to ALL.

Actually, there must be at least three sets of t&c then! I wasn't referring the the 6 month 1st claim one! That is definitely a red herring and anyone follwing it under aprice-match deal is going to lose ALL their cashback - as well as having little chance of winning in court!0
