I purchased a phone on 10/10/06 last year. I am in process of claiming my last cashback. Last week on 19 September 07 I phoned to cancel and was offered a good retention cashback deal from CPW O2 so I excepted. My bill has just been emailed but they have changed my tariff on this bill saying upgraded on 19/09.
Will e2save mess me about with this and is there anything I can do before I send my cash back? any help please.
thanks0 -
Great Lynsey.. thanks a lot. this is what I wanted. I'll send off the sep 4th bill now and hopefully everything will be ok.
Best of luck again, hope your claim goes well as I will be doing the same in a few weeks time (you can be the guinea pig). Lets hope it all goes smooth, but that would be a first.
I've just noticed I spelt FOURTH wrong a couple of times, I will have to start using a spell checker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First bill dated on 12th June.
Netherside as I see it you can either send in your Sept. 12th bill which they must receive before it's 28 days old, or wait until you get your Oct. 12th bill and send that off, preferably straight away.

I have just had a letter saying my cash back has been refused.
I took out a price match, 12 months free contract on 31/05/07. I was told to send my 4th bill, I sent bill number 4 by special delivery. I have today received a letter from 'onestopphoneshop' saying that my cashback claim was sent too early in one sentence and in the next sentence it says my claim was received after the allotted time frame.
As a result my cashback claim has been rejected and I'm ineligible to claim any more. They also say they are unable to enter into any further correspondence with regards to this purchase.
I’m very disappointed, I did the normal cash back last year without any problems.
My phone was from 'e2save' but the letter has come from 'onestopphoneshop'
Is there anything I can do ?
Hi,
Exactly same thing happened me here. I'm going to write a letter to complain then do as mobilejunkie said, send the correct bill at the correct time again.
So did you get your money back? I would really appreciate if you could tell me how your case went.
Many thanks.

Since the letter I saw states they won't accept any further correspondence I'd go straight to a reasonable Letter Before Action, then sue for the full amount (i.e. ALL the cashbacks since they have fundamentally breached your contract).0

Mobilejunkie or anybody ........... with all the trouble ppl are getting re cashback from E2save..........is it worth going with them for a new contract?
I have used them successfully a couple of years ago but is having doubts now. Not just E2save........... most of the companies are making life very very difficult!!
What do people think........ is it worth the the gamble??Berba0 -
I made an impulse purchase for me & my wife, read the Ts&Cs properly realising it was a different set, and promptly sent the things back. I wasn't going to risk £480 x 2 with those clearance Ts & Cs. At the same time I had started to experience issues with a simple set of Ts & Cs on the Virgin deal so that made me confident about my assessment of the situation (i.e. risk vs. reward). The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

Sorry knitwit, but it seems you haven't read the T&Cs properly.
Nowhere in the clearance T&Cs does it tell you to send the fourth bill.If you read it, it says the bill at around 120 days connection. On all networks apart from Vodafone, that would be the fifth bill. So it seems you have sent it too early.0 -
Whilst that is correct, the information on the documentation is misleading to the extent that several people already have fallen foul of them in the same way. However, for those thinking that all they have to do is follow the t&c I believe many will be getting a similar sort of letter too! Not much use having t&c if they throw them out of the window and do their own thing!0

Well if they don't accept my claim when I send in the bill at 120 days, they will be paying the entire amount through the courts, which actually suits me better.0
