Just thought I'd just add my experience into the thread for good measure.
They didn't send the automatic cashback. After 5 chasing calls and 4 excuses I eventually got it
Sent 1st non-automatic cashback by recorded delivery, got confirmation text, but then they claimed they never got it, no record with royal mail. Chased 5 times, got commitment that they would still honour it if I sent again with proof of delivery. Did so, they since didn't receive this either and [I am still chasing
Sent 2nd non-automatic, they received this (they initially said outside of the time period until I said i had evidence). They then claimed it was the wrong bill (which it wasn't). Still chasing
Had a call a few weeks back from a sales guy seeing if I wanted to take up a new deal given my contract was nearly up. Mentioned that I'd had a few problems and he checked their system and told me that all cashbacks had been receieved and processed and I should receive cheques and he will chase for me (needless to say none of this happened). At which point it came to me that rather than get worked up I should have a little fun with this. Therefore decided I would see how long I could keep him on the phone in the hope of making a sale. Got him to explain 'lesson 101' in mobile phones and made 28 minutes - not bad for a first effort I thought
Having read the threads before then I think I'll now go through the money claim online and try my luck there.
However the conversation with the sales guy gave me a taste for that game and now plan to see if I can beat my record. Obviously it would be wrong of me to suggest anyone else do this, but it got me thinking that the best (albeit small) way to stop others having the same experience may be to tie up some of their sales guys time and it's a little fun on the side.
Over time we may be able to build up a list of questions to ask them to keep them on the line that is as long as their list of excuses. Ok, maybe not.
ps no I don't have a life0 -
I filed small claims and they filed defence. Now I am waiting for the transfer note to local court.
Being nervous. Do need some of your support.
My story with e2save: Bought a phone in Aug 06. Kept the printed version of cashclaim, which claims 6th month is the 1st cashback date. Checked online version in Jan (5th month), but only found out the schedule is 4th month (Bill dated Nov) etc. Called CS for hours, not getting through. Emailed no reponse. Sent the Nov airtime bill (but with bill date Dec) anyway in the hope that they would have recognised. Was rejected. Wrote to Appeal Team, stated above plus email record etc. Still being rejected. Wrote to Dunstone. No reply. Filed the small claim.0 -
I've just got a phone from e2save and wish I'd read this before hand, I'm dreading the struggle now!
However, the point I wanted to raise is that when the phone arrived it was packaged in a scruffy plain box with just the charger, none of the accessories were included (headset, microSD card). Admittedly I had assumed I would get all the bits that Nokia say are in the package and never confirmed this with e2save. Is it normal practice for them to keep the accessories and sell them separately or have they just made a mistake? Your experiences greatfully received.0 -

Don't worry unduly about any struggle.
I bought from e2save a year ago.
1st cheque arrived automatically as it said it would - about 6 weeks after taking out the contract.
I sent in the correct bill from Orange from month 4 and I got a 2nd cheque 3 weeks later.
I sent in the correct bill from Orange from month 8 and I got a 3rd cheque 4 weeks later.
I'll be sending in the next bill in a few weeks to collect my final 4th cheque back.
I don't expect a problem.
If it goes to plan I'll have had a £30 per month contract phone with loads of free minutes and texts for 12 months for JUST £23.50 and now the Motorola RAZR V3 is mine.
It was 10 months free line rental so 10 x £30 off the £360 total = £60
BUT went through Quidco and got £36.50 back so ONLY £23.50
Just be absolutely clear which bills YOU have to send in and WHEN.
As for the phone shortages, was it a clearance model ?

Hi was ur phone a clearance phone??
If so then thats wot u get
its a bit hit and miss on the condition of the phone and the box anf any accessories...
But basically they are very difficult to get money back from,, but then again they are cheap!!0 -
Yes, it was clearance. I've spoken to them and been told none of the bits come with it but I don't think that is clear on their website. Even the sim card has someone else's pin code on it so that's the next problem to overcome. I really wish I'd stayed PAYG!0
