Hi All
I'm waiting for a response from e2save, once I get a response I shall post the response for anyone else having problems.
Thanks

Hi guys, was after a little bit of help/advice.
I have just completed an upgrade of my contract/mobile phone and in the process of doing so, was contacted by the lovely people at e2save (with whom my previous contract was taken out through) who as expected tried to flog me a new package. I politely refused as I had not yet spoken to the retentions department of my service provider, and explained that the costs were too high and I didn't want to jump through hoops in order to get any cashback (I missed a few of them).
However, upon mentioning this last point, the lady said that cashback could now be claimed up to a year from the original bill.
Did I imagine this? Or have I missed some major news from e2save? I looked through a fair number of pages from this thread (there are a lot of them!) and couldn't see anything, so any help would be much appreciated.0 -
If you have read through the thread you will have seen that you cannot rely on anything you are told over the phone (or in writing!) from them.
You need to get any offer details confirmed in writing from them before you accept them.0 -
Sounds like it's cpw retentions and not E2Save. Quentin is quite correct; believe ANYTHING they say over the phone at your peril.0

Thank you & good bye! I have just cashed the final cheque from a series of 7 cashback deals with E2S. At various times I have had to threaten legal action, respond to requests to resend documents which I have already sent (with the implication that I have lied in my LBAs) and remind E2S that they have unilaterally attempted to change the terms of our contract. All companies make mistakes sometimes, but my experience with E2S is way beyond occasional error.
The net result is 'never again', at least not with E2S until their act is demonstrably cleaned up. The second is that I pass on my experiences to others who ask, so it is not long term good business practice for CPW.
So my first hand interest in this thread is over, but I shall sneak a peek from time to time. Thank you to Mobilejunkie and to Quentin for their advice.
And to those just beginning the wade through the swamp which is E2S cashbacks: MJ & Q might seem negative, but they do seem to know their stuff, others don't always.0 -
Glad you won - people do when they play the game properly since the only jokers are E2save. Hopefully others will take note, since you are someone who has used them several times and found they have actually changed their colours totally.0

CPW/E2save retentions told me that I can give my bill (upto 1 year) to any carphone warehouse showroom and they will acknowledge the receipt of bill immediately and we will process your cheque back sooner.
*** I still have the recording of above conversion
I went to my local cpw store yesterday and they simply refused it and handed me a leaflet of cheque back claim address.
Btw, they send you your CPW/O2 bills by email/online (to save trees), why can't they accept it by email/fax (to save trees again !!!)All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.0 -
You know why!

I just phoned e2save to see what was going on with 1st claim as no text and Royal Mail tell me they delivered the claim (registered post) on 22nd.
Spokek to e2save bloke:
I asked if they had my claim and where was my text and his response was "we havent recieved it!". He quite insistent but i tell him i sent it registered.
he then asks me:
-For royal mail ID number of letter , i give it to him (get out clause hurdle #1 jumped!)
-Which bill i sent,i tell him (get out clause hurdle #2 jumped!)
He then "calls" royal mail and checks delivery for himself (very trusting i don't think)
The he says its all done, in their system showing as claim accepted and i will get a cheque in 28 days.
I ask if i will get text to confirm, he says no, they are not sending texts any more. I ask if can send letter to confirm claim accepted - he says no.
Is this a breach of their own contractual terms by not sending the texts?
I get him to repeat about 3 times that its been accepted.
I take his first name and extension number.
Finish call.
Question is should i trust them or ring back, get awkward and then insist that they give me written proof/confirmation??
Until they do so that there is alwasy the risk that they say "it was invalid becuase" and by the time i found that out it will be far too late to resubmit and then its bye bye £300-odd quid
My 30 days to get the claim in runs out on thursday (based on the original 30 days- although the bloke tells me its now 60 - unsure if this is a trick??)
Has anyone had the same situation? What was the outcome? What would anyone else do in this situation?
Thanks in advance0 -
It's a waste of your time and money ever ringing them - which you will see if you read through the thread.
As soon as they breach the contract (by being a day late in paying you - all the other disappointments you have with them (like not texting you) are not contract breaches), then go down the lba and mcol route.
Much less stress and hassle, and if you go for the fundamental breach claim, then you cut out any future hassle as well.0
