I am with e2save and would like to know more about "LBA and MCOL", I have never heard of them. Seems it may be the best way forward with them!
Can you tell me what they are please.
It's a pity that you have to look through 118 pages. You will find most of what you want in these two links
http://www.justclaim.co.uk/index.php
http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/onlineservices/mcol/index.htm
The "secret" terms LBA and MCOL are "letter before action" and "money claim online"
That did not take much effort did it?
Perhaps Martin would consider a sticky giving guidance on the way to procede in these cases.

It seems stickys on things like Mercury are more useful than guides like mine:-

which, if followed, could a) avoid many of the probelms in the first place and b) answer many of these repeated questions when they occur. Of course, the people on here (like Quentin) who help a large number of people who get into trouble do so because they are prepared to spend enormous amounts of their own time for no personal gain to help those who aren't. If reading 118 pages of this thread (and many pages on others) is the price to pay to get a "something for nothing deal" which doesn't go pear-shaped it's a price others should be willing to pay. After all, it's their money but our time!0 -

Hi All
Just to let you know that I have been paid by e2 save after phone confirmation that I had 60 days to return my claim as I was told on starting my contract with them. The annoying thing is the dates are still unchanged on the mycashbackclaim.co.uk.
I hope you all notice this on their site if you check your details on it, as I don't want you to miss out on a cashback!
Thanks

In post 2245 Quentin suggested getting the envelope witnessed by the vicar. Trevor Colman recommended not farting in front of said vicar. I am a vicar and had the same problems, they didn't believe me either. Mind you, I didn't try to fart in the envelope: I use window envelopes and they might have misted up, thus breaking the terms and invalidating all claims from everybody for the rest of time. Strong stuff is vicar fart!0

Maybe you should have tried a "jiffy" bag!I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -
Might I suggest you email details of your problems to Ofcom, using both of the two email addresses below.
Whatever others may think of Ofcom (and I don't think that much of them myself), they do have some powers, and they do occasionally even use them, as they have done with Phones 4U over mis-selling. What e2Save/CPW are doing here does fall within their definition of mis-selling, and they already have a number of complaints. Every additional complaint increases the chances of a formal investigation into CPW, and whilst that would be very bad news (and very costly) for CPW, it would be very good news for consumers.
Miriam Martin is the Case leader for the Phones 4U investigation, incidentally.

Here's a link to the Phones 4U outcome - not a good one for them:

Send your complaints about e2save, as outlined above. The same outcome can be achieved with enough complaints.0 -
I'm hoping some of you nice folks can help me out and advise me.
I took out a contract with e2save last year. Everything going tickety-boo, auto-cashback received OK, first redemption cashback (month six) received OK - and then we get to month eight.
I get bill number eight (I'm guessing this may have been a mistake) and send it off within the time period stated. I received a letter back saying the bill is too old for the claim period.
Now I'm coming to think that month eight may not necessarily equal bill eight - however I sent bill six in last time and it was accepted with no problems.
The letter contains a load of stuff about how I was clearly notified of the claim procedures blah blah blah - the usual stuff.
So I have two questions which I hope I'll be able to get help with:
1) Is there anything I can do to salvage THIS claim?
2) What should I do to safeguard future ones?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!0 -
1) Yes - LBA then sue. Read the threads and see how to clarify everything.
2) Ensure you follow the correct t&c and can prove it, meanwhile suing for a fundamental breach of contract and claiming the whole amount due under the cashback contract.
Start with this:-

This really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, but it still seems to. A little research and keeping up to date is a prevntion which is far better than a cure.0
