    Halaku; September bill.

Not sure that's right, actually, mobilejunkie. The first bill will have been issued in March (the month of purchase), so bill number 6 will be the one dated in August by my reckoning.

Re-read your T&C. It says the bill 6 months from connection, not bill number 6.
  • I sound like an old record; bill numbers are totally irrelevant and always have been. I never even look at them. The legal t&c are all that matter.

I was wondering if some-one could help?
I also took out a Nokia 6300, redemption of £111 after 1 month and then 4 cashback claims. In the offer explained documentation, it says "bills send to Carphone Warehouse 6th 8th 10th and 12th bills to send redemption value £249 available by redemption."

for futther info it says look at yout cashback offer leaflet. However I never received one. In another booklet welcome to your new phone, the only additional information is that the bill sent should be no more than 28 days old when posted.

My first bill was dated 1 April, but the date shown on the your offer explained leaflet, is 30 March.

I believe I should send in the bill dated 1 September. Do you think I'm right?
thanks. I know I could ring Carphone Warehouse but I have tried this, and they just told me I should have notified them I hadn't received the terms and conditions sooner.
  • sec79; the bill 6 months from connection would be dated 1 Oct 2008.
  • Hello all,

I’m so sorry to bother you, but (guess what) I could do with a bit of clarification about when to send my six month claim into e2save. My case seems about identical to sec79's.

It’s for a o2 contract with auto cashback followed by claims at 6, 8, 10 and 12 months. You know the ones.

They didn’t send me my auto cashback (£111) of course, until prompted. It then turned up with apologies and cleared with no problems.

My order delivery confirmation email and my ‘Your Offer Explained’ letter are dated 31/03/08. My first bill is dated 01/04/08.

The o2 bill numbered 06 (my sixth bill) has just arrived, dated 01/09/08, however, the information on mycashbackclaim.com says “Send month 6 claim between 1st October 2008 and 29th November 2008 £62.50”.

The bill that will be valid at this time will be numbered 07, not 06.

Could someone please confirm whether the bill I need to send in for my 6 month claim is the bill numbered 06 (the one dated 01/09/08 that needs to be sent now) or my next bill, which matches the dates on mycashbackclaim, but will be numbered 07.

Thanks in advance, and sorry for what must be a very, very common enquiry.

    Bests,
    Ch.
(Whose first cashback contract was only resolved with help from this forum, whose second was with a company that went bust, and who very much wants to make sure that they get this absolutely right.)

I've just found the terms and conditions off the website for my cashback. If my connection date was 31 March, can I just clarify that to claim my first cashback (which is the bill I receive month 6) it will need to be the 1 October bill that I send in please? The first bill I received was dated 1 April. Terms off the website are:

"For Gift value over £100 we require the bill you receive in your 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th month and to arrive with us within 60 days of the date stated on the monthly bill."
    Thanks ever so much
  • Website t&c aren't the same as those at the point of sale. If you don't have those you will not know, especially since the t&c have changed at least four times in 2008 (so far). I now class E2Save etc as a very "dodgy dealer". Always follow the groundrules to avoid tears later.
