I think when that happens it's just down to their poor admin - they haven't picked up on the claim in time to send in the acknowledgement.
Their next step is to send a special delivery letter from their "Group Legal Department" with the money turning up within a couple of weeks. They also want you to sign and return a proforma letter to the court saying as they have paid up you want to withdraw your claim (as well as a receipt for them).
Having won a CCJ against them, why would anyone then want to withdraw their claim? You don't need to. All you need to do is inform the court the money has been paid.
In any case don't send them any receipts until the cheque has safely cleared.
Whilst all this is going on, you could still receive mail from e2save (which can be ignored) trying to get you to withdraw your claim, saying they will pay you your auto cashback, and you can still send in claims and offering you a goodwill settlement to cover your legal costs!!0 -
I received a "Gerneral Form of Judgment or Order" from Birmingham County Court with reference to my claim.
It states that the Judge has said that we can resolve this via the Mediation service, which is not guaranteed, and any outcome would be "WITHOUT PREJUDICE" - but it seems as though I've already tried this anyway.
Will wait to see what happens, but looks like if I don't notify the Court within 4 weeks, they'll send me a Hearing Date, and I pay £25 fee, and then turn up in court!
Looking forward to taking these folks to court!0 -

I imagine Royal Mail do a postcode search for "E2 SAVE" to find the correct address. Not quite convinced a "One Stop Phone Shop, PO Box 8840...." claim would get delivered correctly though.
Dear Kettlefish
This post is in question to the issue regarding e2saves/onestophoneshops postcode, I have registered on money saving expert as a e2save representative to resolve any issue or question you may have.
In reference to the post code for e2save/onestopphoneshop we have three business address the first being
E2save/onestopphoneshop
3R House
Belton road trading estate
Belton road west extension
Loughborough
LE11 5XH
This address is the main business address which is located on all correspondence sent to are customers.
The other address are used for Cashback claims to be sent to
The address for this is as follows.
E2save
PO Box 8840
Loughborough
LE11 9EL
Onestopphoneshop
PO Box 8840
Loughborough
LE11 9EL
The main reason for having a separate address and PO Box is down to the sheer volume of claims we have to sign for each day. By using a PO Box to receive all of our Cashback claims the claims are more efficiently controlled enabling us to accelerate our processes. This way we know our claims are separate from all other standard correspondence and business mail.
I hope this information provided is useful
Thank you

This is contrary to the information we get from royal mail.
They say that you don't "sign" for each letter, that they deliver them in bulk along with a list of the recorded reference numbers. E2save are supposed to check off the list and return it at a later date.
Sometimes you do and sometimes you don't, which is the royal mail explanation as to why recorded delivery items (which have been delivered), nevertheless never show up as "signed for".0 -
The information you are providing is clearly incorrect.
On https://www.mycashbackclaim.co.uk, the contact address has been changed to essentially the same address as the "PO Boxes":
Cashback Claims
PO Box 8840
3R House
Belton road
West Ext
Loughborough
LE11 9EL
Days ago, this same contact address had the "LE11 5XH" post code.
I maintain that LE11 5XH is the correct post code for all correspondence and cashback claims. The LE11 9EL post code does not exist and is merely an attempt to lose items of mail related to cashback in the postal network.0 -
I wouldn't argue about their motives for continually changing their addresses for claims, but there is an explanation for the different postcodes.
The 9EL bit is for mail uniquely addressed to the the po box number.
The 5XH one is the geographic postcode for 3R House.
If you send their claims to any other address than the one in the ts + cs when you took the contract you give them the opportunity to say you broke the ts + cs.0 -
I stand corrected (although I still don't understand why cashback claims posted to the LE11 9EL post code take 6-7 days to deliver, if indeed it is an existent post code).0
-
They don't take so long to deliver.
As posted above, royal mail have connived with them.
The recorded delivery system we pay for says it's a "postal service with signature and barcode scanning on delivery".
But as posted above, (and confirmed by royal mail), they are allowed to have their mail without signing for it "on delivery".0 -
I like the way an E2save representative took the initiative to sign up to these forums to respond directly to my accusations regarding post codes, but the hundreds of other posts regarding decent peoples cashbacks are conveniently ignored and left for the shar--, lawyers to pick up the pieces
I've always wondered about the integrity of such companies. Surely selling... pencils would be more financially and ethically rewarding than constantly faffing about with lawyers, courts, disdained customers etc.0 -
You shouldn't be surprised - it's completely in character.
The carphonewarehouse group are happy to lie to customers (both in writing and on the phone) about not receiving cashbacks etc, their solicitors are prepared to lie on court documents when then sign statements of truth to say that they do not owe any money at all to customers who have resorted to taking legal action to get paid - yet at the same time their in-house staff are sending "without prejudice" e-mails and letters trying to get the customer to settle out of court for less than the amount being claimed.0
