I can't see how they are well within the 28 day timesframe. Also, which timesframe? E2Save don;t work on bill dates as such even though the legal t&c do.
I would NEVER send to Loughborough unless specifically instructed do in writing - neither would I ask for confirmation. All my appropriate claims (and those of the people I look after) go to Coventry as in the legal t&c and all are fine. However, I do tweak one small detail to ensure there's every chance they track.
Advising people to use this thread (or any other) as proof of anything is VERY bad advice. Courts won't accept these threads as evidence. I strongly advise people to do as Lynsey is doing in that situation.0 -

I assume he means the 28 day time frame afforded in the legal T&C. The legal T&C is all that matter (as if there was any need to relay that info to you).

I think i'm on a price match deal. It was the 6300 on Orange which I took out a year ago (making the final claim). Also it's with OSPS but I've always thought there the same company.
Going to send this today by special, the bill date is 23rd of each month, so I have until 20th to get it in by.
Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.0 -
All cpw group customers ought to know what deal applies to them (just in case things like this happen).
If it really was a pricematch, then they have let you off the £10 admin charge that was payable if you submitted an incomplete claim. Also 28 days were never mentioned as a deadline for customers in pricematch ts + cs. (They did mention 28 days as the time it would take them to "process" a claim)0 -

There is nothing in the pricematch ts + cs regarding a penalty (apart from them charging a £10 admin fee for dealing with an incomplete claim) for making the mistake reported by davidjones90.
The only scenario where the whole cashback is lost, and no further claims could be made was if a claim is not made before the timeframe closes.0 -
Not sure I follow that entirely, Quentin. Price-match t&c did state that the bill must be no older than 28 days when they receive it (claim window was 30 days from the anniversary of the connection date though, nataurally, they always ignored that and did their own thing!).0

In my copy (though there may be other versions) it says:Where a valid claim has not been received by us within one calendar month of the required bill, which is the closing date for your claim. You will not be entitled to any part of the Cash Back offered. Cash back files are closed and cannot be reopened in these cases.0

When you ordered there was the "offer information" page, which states "Send your claim in with the Cashback Claim Process below"... and at the end of each listed installment "(This bill must be no older than 28 days when we receive it and have no balance brought forward.)". There was a separate "click here" button to "Download terms and conditions of offer". THAT lead to the t&c you are referring to, which were worded without the 28 days. I would assume a judge would allow the version must favourable to the customer under such circumstances. Interestingly, the "Offer information", which is quite clear and specific, makes no mention of forfeiture of future claims either. It's typical E2Save (the emails and paper information sent with the phone were suitably contradictory too most of the time, as were the dates - when there were any - in the Account section. I would presume the "click here" t&c take precedence, although I think if needbe (not that it ever would be!) I would argue both/either in a court according to the situation. After all, that's precisely what E2Save does (except they ignore all the legal t&c to start with and invent totally different ones!).0

This is very helpful for me...
Just heard from E2Save that my second c/back claim has been rejected - they say thay didn't receive the second page of my bill despite me stapling the c/back voucher & complete bill together!
E2Save cust servcs told me that Orange online bills are accepted for re-submission - is this true? Or should I send copies of the original bills?
Of course they say that the claim window ended on 5/7/08 altho' 28 days from bill date takes me up to 15/7/08 so I'll re-submit by then.0 -
Assuming you aren't on the pricematch ts + cs, then both options are open to you.
Are you sure about getting 28 days from the bill date? Their wording is usually that the latest date for a claim to be received is calculated from the connection date, not the bill date.0
