  • Well, I've just been told this morning that I'm on Price Match T&C's & that I was sent an email on 10/12/07 to this effect! (My connection date was 10/12/07 too)

The T&C's sent with the phone mention 'Price Promise' but not Price Match
The e2save 'Welcome to your new phone' pamphlet states 'the bill should not be older than 28 days' when it's sent so I'll stick with the T&C's sent with the phone...

Assuming you aren't on the pricematch ts + cs, then both options are open to you.

Are you sure about getting 28 days from the bill date? Their wording is usually that the latest date for a claim to be received is calculated from the connection date, not the bill date.

If you have a pricematch deal, then original orange bills are required according to the ts + cs.

See if you can get the person who told you an on-line print out would be accepted to confirm this in writing.

If ordered in December this IS a price-match deal and original bills are part of the t&c. You can only hope that they will honour the word of the person on the phone - personally I wouldn't hold my breath, but has been known. As for the dates, the legal price match t&c (as opposed to the ones they follow) DO mean you have 28 days from the date of the bill. You can still make it within the legal timeframe no matter what they say (and provided you know what you're doing and have the t&c etc). However, you WILL still fall foul of the "original" bill specification.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "sent out with the bills".

I mean when they send you a monthly bill it would be quite simple to inform you that the cashback adddress has changed, and so far I certainly have NOT been informed.

  • As far as I'm aware*, the bills you receive are sent from the network and NOT the retailer. In any case, posting claims to the address in your T&C is absolutely fine, perhaps preferable, as they are redirected.

*You might perhaps be referring to the "CPW O2" service, but I'm not entirely familiar with this.

You're right sorry, that's the one I'm on and made an assumption.
Still, a change of address should have been sent, although all has gone ok to date - fingers crossed for last one.:D

Haven't you read enough about how they operate to understand why they haven't written to you about their change of address?

Seems the brief appearance by the "E2Save Representative" is a one off. Maybe the fact they couldn't deflect the numerous criticisms forced them back below the parapet - where they belong unless and until they drastically change their practices, attitudes and the IIC.

I wouldn't argue about their motives for continually changing their addresses for claims, but there is an explanation for the different postcodes.

The 9EL bit is for mail uniquely addressed to the the po box number.

The 5XH one is the geographic postcode for 3R House.

If you send their claims to any other address than the one in the ts + cs when you took the contract you give them the opportunity to say you broke the ts + cs.

    Interesting.

The email they sent me give the Crewe Address.

The A5 booklet "welcome to your phone" gives the Loughboro address (LE11 9EL).

So as said previously they try all they can to confuse you!
I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!
