I too wondered when I would receive a settlement. I eventually had a phone call from them trying to negotiate (this was after I filled in my allocation questionaire from the county court), but I refused and said I would only accept full settlement of my claim or see them in court. A cheque for the full amount eventually arrived without any further correspondance. It's my feeling that remanining in contact with them after issiung a claim simply prlomgs the agony. If they see that you won't budge, they pay up before the hearing date is set.

Stick with it, and simply press on towards the hearing without further discussion with them.

Would be interesting to see how much money they lose through paying legal fee's. I've sent off my Court Hearing Form, and now waiting for the date Several emails to e2save have been ignored (they were prompt with replies when I was 'negotiating' a settlement).

The dates quoted on their web site for my offer do not match their email explanation sent to me.
    Send month 2 claim between 15th May 2008 and 13th Jun 2008
    Send month 4 claim between 15th Jul 2008 and 13th Aug 2008
    Send month 6 claim between 15th Sep 2008 and 14th Oct 2008

Bought 15th April so two months after connection should be 15th Jun, 15th Aug and 15th Oct they are out by a month.

Does anyone have experience of which is more reliable to follow?
Do people find they get a cheque even if I send early as their web site says?

    Thanks Bill

also does anyone konw which address E2save claims usually work for the Crewe address in the emails sent or the Loughborough address on the claim vouchers.
    Thanks Bill

Where do i send the LBA? Is it the same address as my cashback claims? My claim is for my "NON" auto cashback. I havnt got to the stage of sending any bills in yet!

    Thanks in advance

    The address i have is:
Cashback Claims, PO BOX 337, Crewe, CW2 8WE

You must always use a proper address for a county court claim (not a po box).

You can use their office address:

    3R House
    Belton Road West Extension,
    Belton Road Trading Estate,
    Loughborough
    LE11 5XH

Try reading back a few pages. this has been answered at least a dozen times (I'd guess)

The address you are looking for is something like portal way, london from memory

Would be interesting to see how much money they lose through paying legal fee's.

Accepting that e2save (cpw) do keep an eye on the bottom line, then they probably have it worked out that they don't lose any money doing things the way they do.

Looking at the numbers, they will know how many customers send in the LBA (which they either ignore or send a strongly worded denial) then just give up.

So only a proportion will actually progress to the MCOL, and of those a number will be put off progressing to a hearing after seeing that a solicitor is involved sending in the (outrageous) defence along the lines of we deny owing the claimant any money at all, and accept the less than claimed settlements we have heard they offer by phone and email.

We know that they do cave in for those who stay the journey, don't do a deal with them, and do continue the court procedure until the full settlement is cleared through the bank - but how many is that compared with the number who start off by sending the LBA?

Thanks for letting us know how you've got on.
I'd be really grateful if you could keep us updated.

How could you tell that the conditions on their website were dated after your
contract started? I sent copies of a bill instead of originals and they've since
deleted all trace of the conditions from my account.
(they've just left a link to the PDF for the claim vouchers with a new address!)
I'm very tempted to have a go at LBA etc.. as I'm in a similar position. The
online conditions said send originals but the papers they sent said the opposite.
Sorry for the delay in replying - I've just had a week away. Pleased to say that the cheque for £500 was sent to me by recorded delivery which I picked up when I got back.

I discovered the date of the terms changed by opening the PDF file and right clicking on the page then choosing Properties (I think you need to latest version of Adobe to get it to show this). The date the document was created is shown there. From memory I took the contract out at the start of August but the PDF file was created on 28 Sept

If your terms were created after the contract start date too I'd advise getting a screenshot just incase (the PDF file was mysteriously wiped off the internet once I sent in my county court application). To do that just press the Printscreen button (or ALT + PRTSCR which will save the whole active page). Open Paint and press CTRL V and it should appear there then save the file.

I'm doing an mcol for my wife's cashback claim. They owe £420 plus the £35 court fee. Had an email today offering to pay first 3 claims plus court fee, and let us continue with the last 2 claims.
If it was not for the advice on this wonderful thread I might have caved in, but have sent a firm rejection of their offer.

    Thanks everyone.
Karma is a wonderful thing. ;)

Any chance of sharing the email add with us? I had the email from Sue, and someone else on here was contacted by Emma.

Both of them have ignored my emails since the cheque failed to show up within their stated 7-10 day period (It has been about 21 days now).

Definately ask for the full whack Jonny. Good luck, and will keep you posted on how I get on with my claim (currently waiting for the Court Hearing date - i think)

Not sending the out of court settlement as promised seems the norm.

Don't waste time trying to chase the cheque.

Just proceed to submit your allocation questionnaire. It seems that these settlement offers are timed to coincide with court deadlines for the return of documents.

When the cheque eventually turns up (which it always seems to before anyone actually gets to court), don't be in a hurry to return the prepared letter or receipt they send out with the cheque.

This tells the court you have settled and wish to withdraw your claim.

It has taken just under 2 weeks to process one of my latest claims on a 'Price Match' deal. Received a cheque for £88.00, 3 more claims to go on this contract. I've always emailed to check the progress of each claim using http://www.mycashbackclaim.co.uk/ and have always had a reply within 2 business days. I always post my claims using Special Delivery.
