  • I'm in the same situation. It's been almost 2 weeks now, I've called in 3 times and still my orange sim hasn't been activated. I sent an email to complain and they sent an auto-response telling me to call instead - madness!

    Finally - connected!

Phoned on Wednesday and after 20mins the lady on the phone said it'll be connected tomorrow(Thursday), and I should keep the phone OFF. She also said my contract will only start when I am connected. Happy with that. :)

Post amended - just checked royal mail website and it now says it was delivered from their Dunstable office. Long was from the postcode I sent it to but who cares - I have all I need now in the event I need to take them to court.

Sent my claim by Recorded Delivery to the new address (Dunstable). It is showing as being delivered on the Royal Mail website so maybe Royal Mail are now tracking these letters properly.
  • Still waiting for my June cashback here, i did send the wrong part of the bill in the first place that did not show my adress so they waited for me to contact them before letting me know, i then sent the other part of the bill in July. I have just phond them and they said there has been a delay but my cheque was raised on 12/09/06 was ready to be sent on 5/10/06 and should be with me within 21 days !
What a tourtuos route these cheques must take.
    WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..

Oh I wasn’t quite ready can I have another go ?

I think that there should be a universal warning from Martin on top of the mobile phone forum to strongly advice people against going with these cashback offers. It should also be clearly stated on Martin's mobile cutting cost article that these cashback schemes should be avoided at all cost.

It is blindingly obvious that these are forms of scamming people and frankly stealing money from customers as it is something that even the big mobile companies are not offering despite the highly competetive market. Just ask yourself how these companies are making their money. They are simply stealing it from us and the stories here are are certainly just the tiny tip of a massive iceberg.
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????
  • Aiadi, thats a bit excessive don't you think? Ok I am only on my first cashback contract but I received my first cheque on time, and having just spoken to e2save it appears that my second one was raised yesterday within a week of them receiving my claim. I can't really complain about that can I?

As with anything that is as popular as these offers there will be complaints, due you recommend martin puts warnings for every company on the top of the forums. I'm not defending the cashback companies where they have got things wrong but I just think you are being a tad over the top.

Not really over the top at all if you were affected by the same blight as others here. Good customer service (and this site is all about customers) on & off for the few who are lucky is not good enough. I hope your good experience with them continues but please promise to let us know through an update if thinks start to fall apart when the time for your second cashback is due.

I have just confirmed my 4th and final cashback from Mobileshop.com. I have received each payment without fail - one was late but promptly paid the following day after using their online chat helpline.

The cashback I have received has matched the full cost of using the simcard over the last 12 months exactly as promised. BT Mobile, 120 x-net mins and 30 free text messages per month with roll-over.

Cannot fault Mobileshop.com, they were as good as their word.

  • Hi
Does anyone have a recent fax number for e2save cashback? I have found one dating back to June or July on this forum, but given their relocation I wanted to try and find one I know is up-to-date.

I have sent my claim twice - by recorded delivery a week and a half ago to the old address - the one on my cashback form - and by special delivery this wednesday to the new address, as my deadline is tomorrow.

Neither the recorded delivery or special delivery are yet tracking on the royal mail website, so I figure a fax may be useful, though I'm sure I have enough evidence of compliance to successfully get my cashback one way or another.

I was promised £21.00 chequeback within 2 months provided i didnt cancel.

2 months has passed, I called up and am told "i have requested this for you now, it normally takes 30 days but we have a backlog and it is now 50)

iF YOU GET THE SAME DEAL ELSEWHERE DONT USE THEM. P.s If you buy a carphone !!!!!house clearance phone, you end up with e2save.
