Thanks, yes that seems to be answer. I thought they may have made it harder to get a contract and possibly "blacklist" you. But obviously there are ways around that as well!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am on a price match contract and my first cashback claim should go in about now. O2 have messed up my paper billing. Soon after I took out the contract in December 2007, I had got in touch with O2 CS to cancel my itemised billing. Not only did they cancel it but they also cancelled my paper billing.
I explained to them quite vehemently that I will need this months original bill for cash back purposes. Four different O2 members of staff have reassured me that the paper billing has been reinstated - and had been done last month - on my account and I should be receiving it in the post without fail. But to date surprise! surprise! I have not received it. I rang O2 today and now they tell me there has been some sort of systems error when loading.
I need the original bill pdq. I doubt if e2save will entertain an on-line bill as they stipulate in the ts & cs that it's got to be the original. By the way my a/c is with o2 and not carphonewarehouse o2. I am at a loss as to how to approach this.0 -
Hi,
I have generally tried to keep up to date with this thread but it is proving a little impossible at the moment.
I hope nobody minds If I ask but has E2save gone into liquidation?
I clicked on a link in another thread and it said E2save.com has gone into liquidation.
I know that many people have been having lots of problems claiming back their money from them for a long time, but if they are in liquidation (??) is their any chance of getting money for a claim I sent in two weeks ago?
Thanks0 -

e2save is a trading division of The Carphone Warehouse Group PLC. CPW have not gone into liquidation.0 -
I saw this too. When I started having trouble with my cashback, I contacted companies house for the address, only to find they were in liquidation. I immediately rang carphonewarehouse, who explained that the company was wound up (in theory) to allow for streamlining and merging of operations under the carphonewarehouse name, but that this didn't mean anything in practice. What this means in layman's terms is that they actually never ceased trading, but now no longer have a distinct legal identity, which is why you sue CPW 'trading as' e2save. So no worries.
Hope that helps.Hi,

Gosh. In liquidation. Better tell them to stop sending me all those cheques then (and all those cheques to those I look after). Old rubbish never gets collected, but just sits there until someone else stumbles over it and starts a panic stampede.0

I had a similar problem, when my son changed over to viewing the bill over the internet. I found someone very helpful in 02 who actually sent me the required bill by email attachment. I submitted this, with an explanatory letter, and my cashback was paid.0 -

Looking over the threads on Cashback, it is undeniable that Mobilejunkie's detailed analysis and help is invaluable to many people who have found that they are dealing with less than 100% upfront mobile phone companies. Anyone following the threads and in particular, his help, is more likely to be a winner than a loser and it is very clear - indeed his pseudonym and numerous posts indicate as much - that here is a person who is a serious expert in this field.
Most contributors to this topic, however, are not, but are simply people who have found, to their cost, that they have hit a trading model that actively relies upon putting obstacles in the way, with the express intent of getting as many customers to fail the ludicrously convoluted cash refund. They are panicking about losing considerable sums of money and don't have the depth of experience that you have in this.
It is a great pity, therfore, that you more than occasionally seem to take it out on people who are either in trouble or trying to help. I am not just referring to the above quote, but to many weeks of following the mobile forum. I don't know if it was because it was gone midnight that you sent the above quoted reply, but it seemed unnecessary as the original question was a polite, innocuous one that had already received two very clear replies and really didn't need a sarcastic one back from you as well.
Your help and guidance is very, very welcome and spot on. But, please, cut others who ain't mobilejunkies a bit of slack.0 -
Update on my Out of court settlement with e2save
After refusing to pay my cashback, going through MCOL, getting an out of court settlement for £500 (first 3 claims x2 + costs) and agreeing to claim my final 2 cashbacks (x2) on mutually agreed dates.
I have submitted the penultimate claims and had them refused on the "previous claims not submitted correctly" excuse. This was despite my including a copy of the out of court settlement agreement with the claims. So it's off for another MCOL if they don't pay all my outstanding cashback in the next 14 days.
Mobilejunkie was correct, don't settle for anything less than the full cashback as they won't honour any deals.0
