I've dealt with this with someone else. Send a LBA and sue and they'll pay (albeit after putting in the standard delaying defence).

For the upmteenth time; the information they SEND people is often WRONG. If you don't KNOW exactly what t&c you signed up to AT THE TIME it's your own head - there's plenty of advice and information on MANY threads about all this going back MONTHS! You MUST follow ALL the groundrules or WATCH OUT!!

Is it worth contacting Trading Standards? My "AUTOMATIC" cash back has not been anything like it - they have never answered my e-mail and I have had to wait hours on the phone. Finally got someone to answer and it could take 28 days to process it before I get the cheque. Or maybe OFTEL? When I complained by ringing Carphone Warehouse who were the only number I could get through on they said they were different to E2Save, but the woman I spoke to today gave me the reason for 28 days to get the cheque through because it goes through to Carphone Warehouse who have to process it. Such a bloody waste of time!

TS will be a further waste of your time. They don't chase money for you.

Read through the problem threads for e2s/mobile outlet etc.

The correct course of action (which will get you all money due, not just this late payment - LBA followed by MCOL) is well documented.

I know, just thinking out loud really. Have logged it with OFCOM though. Will hang on for a month and then go through the legal route.

Many thanks to Mobile Junkie and Lynsey for previous help (p56 of this thread) Followed your advice and E2save have paid out on my first claim!! Thought I might have lost out when special delivery tracker said my letter was redirected, but to my utter delight, a lovely cheque arrived in the post just over 2 weeks after i sent the claim in!
    Result! :j

    Interesting problem here.

First claim went like clockwork. Second claim sent by Special Delivery and is coming up on the Royal Mail website as being redirected. One week later it still says the same thing.

I've contacted Royal Mail and they said "ah, those guys again, they're naughty". Redirected mail isn't tracked individually, so there is no proof it has been delivered to the new address.

So E2Save are now claiming they haven't received it - and I'll have to claim through Royal Mail (normally that would mean I get nothing, because Royal Mail only pay the value of the item posted, which is 3 sheets of paper - but I had the foresight to get extra insurance).

The message, as usual is - don't do mobile cashbacks UNLESS UNLESS UNLESS you know what you're doing. And especially don't do e2s unless you have nerves of steel.

Rang Royal Mail Friday, Monday, Tuesday and finally today(using 18185)...at last...getting somewhere....apparantly the redirection is to Loughborough.....so she rang the sorting office there, and apparantly there were 2000 Recorded letters and lots of Special Delivery letters redirected to this office today, but the information hasnt been input to the system yet.

I told her mine had a Consequential loss Insurance on it, she told me if the signature wasnt on the web page by tonight they would consider it as lost....dont know where i'm better off now....it being lost and RM paying me my outstanding cash backs(through Consequential loss), or it being deliverd....i think the former will be less stressful....although my previous two cash backs have been no trouble at all....

I will let you know the outcome

The redirection doesnt appear to have been concluded yet(its now a week)....looks as though its RM, i''ll be claiming off

A horrible E2Save cashback query any help would be appreciated. I sent my husbands first cashback claim off as soon as we had march bill (26th march)by recorded delivery to Loughborough address. Today I've had a letter back stating as bill doesn't correspond with original mobile number (he ported his old number) of cashback phone they won't pay cheque. Also we've yet to receive automated cheques which was due in october. Despite many long phone calls in fact I called them today waiting 20 mins before I gave up!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaggggghhhh
  • Hi guys, i'm a total noob to this E2Save price match cashback (go easy please!) and thought I had it all figured from reading pretty much every single post on here but i've hit a problem!
I found out all the relevant dates etc but when I check the form I downloaded at the time (Nov '07) the vouchers only ask for my mobile number and name, rather than 'Transaction Number' etc that people on here have mentioned, and it talks of making the first claim after 6 months instead of 4. I know I'm supposed to be sending it in after 4 months for PM, so I'm thinking maybe I've got managed to be led into downloading the regular terms/vouchers and not the Price Match ones. Is this the case?
Am I also right in thinking that I should steer WELL clear of using the vouchers that were sent with the phone?
and finally of course, is there anything I can do to get my hands on the 'right' ones from this period?
any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like you downloaded the wrong forms. The ones which came with the phone asking (presumably) for the transaction number etc. should be ok (six numbered claim forms to one of the two Crewe addresses).
