    I've been Money Tipped!
On Current FAQs page of e2save's website, the address for claiming cashback is different from what it says on the claim form (link of web page: http://media.secure-mobiles.com/info/www/popups/supportPop.php?id=273, or click " how to claim my cashback" on http://www.e2save.com/helpdesk/)

In short, address shown on website: e2save.com, Cashback Claims, PO Box 8840, Loughborough, LE11 9EL Whilst address shown on Claim form: e2Save Cashback claims, PO Box 462, Crewe, CW1 9DY. So which one is valid address for next 12 months?

In addition, when sending out cashback claims, does it have to be itemed bills? Can I use summarised statement instead (which is the front page of statements)?

Please can anyone help me with these questions, and thank you in advance.

Until I get a letter from them ALL cashbacks will be sent to the original address at the time of the start of the contract which is on the cashback voucher.

    I always send the full bill, but what is needed is;

"Send us your claim form and monthly
bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff you are
    connected to."

There are variations on that - sometimes you MUST send the original bill. Always best to send the lot, although itemised has never been required on any t&c. All these issues have been covered many times now on the dozens of threads on them.

meggles:- I suggest you 1) read the many relevant threads - it's more than possible you WERE within the legal timeframe whatever they have said (they DO imply they received it). 2) You need to fully undertsand thr t&c YOu signed up to - most don't. It is fully explained MANY times over on the numerous threads on this company (and it's sister sites). Provided they HAVE received it within the LEGAL claim dates (NOT theirs) you need to obtain proof of the delivery date and expect to sue - or you're stuffed.

thanks. i have read the T&C that came with the phone and i am confident that i have not broken them.

the only catch- i sent it registered delivery from the US. i have proof that i sent it on that date, but i can't get proof of delivery online. i'll call the US Postal Service and see what i can figure out.

i have tried calling them yesterday & today- 0871 522 3400. each time, they say they're unable to take the call ??

I would send it to one on claim form as they may be able to get you on not sending it to actual claim address on form if they try to get out of last payments which they are doing a lot now.

Where did you get the £100 costs from?

A MCOL for £130 costs just £25 for a claim up to £300. (But you haven't issued one yet).

When they didn't pay you as agreed you could have sued them for the total amount of cashback you were due to receive (as their failure to pay was a fundamental breach of the contract).

Now if you want to progress your claim for the £100 costs, then budget for a hearing fee (on top of the £25 to issue the MCOL) of another £25. Then add in your own out of pocket expenses for your day in court, and the possibility you lose the case, and also end up having to pay their expenses as well.

The £100 was for my time i told them i'd be charging when i wrote to them previously. Take your point about additional costs etc if i lose but i feel so strongly about them totally ignoring emails and letters that i want to ask them about it in court and am willing to take the risk of losing.

The t&c with the phone may well NOT be the ones you signed up to; if it was a price-match deal that is almost certainly the case. You need to find those if so and double-check the dates etc.
  • Hi, I have had several problems with e2save. both carphone warehouse and o2 are unwilling to help.

I applied for a contract with O2 on the 1st/2nd February 2007 and by mistake, I ordered two Sim cards. I returned one Sim card as it was not required. On Friday 23rd February my remaining Sim card stopped working. I received a message on my phone stating, ‘Sim card not working’.
The next day, I called the customer services department. I was told that I had returned the wrong Sim card and phone, because of this, the Sim card I was using had been cut off. The advisor then told me that another Sim card would be posted to me, which I would then receive within 5-7 days.

On Monday 26th February 2007, I received two envelopes from Carphone Warehouse with call charges for both contracts.

After 10 days of waiting, on Tuesday 6th march, I called your customer services department again. I started my call at 4.45pm and was told to stay on hold. I was put on hold for 15 minutes before an advisor answered the call. I explained to him that I had not yet received my Sim card. I was told that he could not deal with my query as I had applied online and would have to put me through to someone else.
I was then put on hold again only to be transferred to a lady working at the switch board. She obviously couldn’t help and needed to put me through to the right person. I was then put in another waiting queue for another 15 minutes.

I finally spoke to another advisor – at approximately 5.30pm – I explained my situation to him. He also put me on hold to speak to his supervisor and told me that Carphone Warehouse has never received a request for a new Sim card. I told him that I wish to cancel my contract with O2 because of the horrendous service I had been receiving. I was then put on hold for a thrid time, while the advisor spoke to his supervisor. He returned to my call and said that is was not possible to cancel my contract.

    - can anyone help with this, as I have tried to cancel the contract on many occasions, but they are refusing to allow me to cancel the contract and have instead sent my details through to debt collectors who are persuing taking me to court as carphone warehouse have put several charges to my bill which i have been refusing to pay as I have not received the services as of the above date.

    any advice would be appreciated.

    thanks

You could cancel your contract (anyone can), but they will be entitled to the early termination fee. Presumably you don't want to pay this.

So you need to sort out the situation regarding your accounts with them.

Did you properly cancel the second contract you ordered "by mistake"?

If not, then this will now be binding. (Simply returning the sim card won't necessarily have cancelled the deal).

Because of the problems over telephone conversations, it would be better for you to write to them about this.

But get on to it, as this will just escalate.
  • I have a contract with e2save which is up for renewal or cancellation in June. I have had cashback from the beginning of the contact and all was well untill the last 2 cashback payments. My friend and I , she's got a contract with them too - both sat down and wrote envelopes and all the cashback offers details on paper for the whole 18 month contracts and wrote the dates in our diaries and we also remind each other to send a copy of our bill in with all the paperwork in and like clockwork we always do. Last month they moved premesis because they have gotten so big and needed larger premesis. While this happened, my last bill was delayed due to them not me, as I sent it on time, but the time it took them to get the mail from one post box to another it delayed my last claim so I was £49.00 down and this month I havn't received any cash back either !! I sent it recorded delivery like the others on the day my bill arrived, and you have about a month to do so, I did it straight away and have proof from the post office. Try phoning them or emailing them and no joy, premium rate line and never answered, again I loose out. I phoned sales and guess what got through in 20 seconds. The aftersales is rubish and I will not be taking a contract out with them again, I am going to send a letter to end contract and we will see that they will ignore it and caryy on. I want to make you all aware. All is not hunckeydorry with them be carefull. !!!!
