After sending my LBA on 26/03/08 requesting automatic cashback within 10 days, I have received a letter back asking me to allow 21-28 days for delivery of the cheques. Should I continue to claim through MCOL at the end of the 10 day period?0

If you intend to proceed with your MCOL at the end of your 10 day period, then as they have written and asked you to wait longer you should reply to that letter, telling them why you are not prepared to wait, and restating your deadline after which proceedings will commence.
There is no doubting what their reply would be were it you writing and asking for an extra 21 days to submit your claim after you were already late!0 -
Thanks Quentin.
I am writing another letter giving them 7 days from today to send me the cashback before I proceed with MCOL.0 -
More weirdness from e2s.....
Sent a LBA regarding a claim sent to Dunstable in Jan., which has never been responded to and they say not delivered (although I have SD proof of delivery). No response so far to this LBA (sent SD to CPW HQ).
To my amazement another claim (also sent to Dunstable) in late Feb was paid this morning!
I suspect they just don't know what they are doing...0 -
Thanks Quentin.

isn't an LBA best sent to the registered head office of the company? The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

You can send a LBA to any address you have been using to communicate with the company about the problem.
Which are the same rules if you need to issue a summons. Note, though, that a po box is no good for the address on a summons. You need to put a "proper" location as the address on a MCOL.0
