I purchased a price match deal on 3rd December 07. when it gets round to time to claim I want to make sure everythings in order after hearing everyone elses problems
According to the website in my account it says send month 4 claim between 1st april and 1st may - my bills are dated the 4th of each month so am I correct in assuming I should send the bill dated 4th april?
then month 6 between 31st may and 30 jun so would this be bill dated 4th jun?
Some people have said that the information it gives you is 1 month out, please advise as to when I should claim dont want to lose out
Thanks in advance
Just logged into e2save account login and when selecting the cash back tab I get the message
''There is no information for this order''
Is bill with cashback voucher stapled and covering letter ok?
What should I state in letter ie: order ID, customer ID etc
My cashback vouchers which I printed off say send to crewe but on website (not in account area) says send to

forget what it says on line, what do your T+C's of offer state? mine is a price match, I sent 4th bill (the one that arrives after 120 days after connection) with the voucher that came with the phone.
The transaction no needs to go on the voucher (dont be fooled in to putting your "very important unique reference number". and i put a covering letter with all my details on. I also included my 1st bill with the number they supplied as i ported my number. I then photocopied everything and then filmed me putting all pages in to envelope, and getting someone to witness and sign!!! (Paranoid - I know!!!!! but im not taking any chances).
Then I chose to send it by SD with cons loss ins. TO CREWE:j  :j0 -
Good afternoon
I am having problems with the confusing paperwork they have sent me w.r.t. making a claim.
The paper work states
'Instalment 1: you will need to claim 4 months from connection and you have 30 days from this date to submit your claim. Send us the claim form and monthly bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff you are connected to. (This bill must be no older than 28 days when we receive it and have no balance bought forward).
ie if you purchased on the 1st January, you need to send in the bill that is dated around the 1st of May, and you will have until the 30th of May to do so. This is 120 days (4 months) after connection.
More paperwork printed off after log in onto my details states
'Offer break down. Send month 4 claim between 25th March 2008 and 24th April 2008, you get £84'
I purchased the phone on the 25th November 2007. The first bill was dated 3rd December 2007 and detailed payments for the following month as well as the few days after connection to the 3rd of December.
ie The bill date and tax point of the current bill is 3rd april but the second page details the service plan for 3rd April to 2nd May 2008.
I have just found out that the offer details on www.mycashbackclaim.com are no longer there. I have a suspicion that I have now run out of time as they will say that I should have sent back the 3rd March bill detailing the 3rd of march to 2nd april service plan time period, not basing the information on the bill date as previously suggested.
Despite this the information appears confusing. If this is the case, then why say 'send back the month 4 claim between 25th march and 24th April, as obviously the 3rd march bill detailing the service time period that would include the 4 months connection time needed to prove would be older than 28days if i sent it in April???
In summary, should the important data be the bill and tax point date or the service plan period in the bill?
I have had problems with clarity with their paperwork before and looks like it is equally confusing now.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I am going to ring them tomorrow, and send them the current (3rd April bill) after I have been told which of several postal address' I should send it to:mad:
Help please

You are within legal time - JUST. You really SHOULDN't be doing these deals; you've failed to do your proper research - ALL the answers are on here. It really IS about time they made my guide a sticky to help loads of people just like you:-

Instead of starting hyseterical opetitions to ban cashback deals maybe people should start one on here to make it a sticky.
You are on a (now defunct) price-match deal. READ post 5 omn there. Act fast and you can recover your position. Really, you've not unerstaood what you signe dup to OR worked out the situation until the last breath. Act fast and properly and you will succeed - even via the courts if needbe. Otherwise kiss goodbye to ALL your cashback.
Honestly - I am not everyone's cup of tea but I have at least saved a lot of people a lot of money; isn't it about time my guide was made prominent to avoid all this repetition AND save a few more people financial distress? If not don't complain about my impatience - why should I spend an enormous amount of my time answering the SAME old questions for others at (actually) detriment to myself??0 -
I really appreciate the time and effort you have put into this thread. It is so long and people need answers so quickly that you will get this repetition. I was guilty of it myself before I found your guide. I would therefore be happy to support your guide becoming a sticky. Indeed I cannot think of any good reason why it isn't already. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help this be expedited. There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.0

Thanks. It has been suggested once or twice before; I really believe it would be most helpful to a growing number of people. I started it a long time back when there were many other dealers offering cashback deals than now. My guidelines cover all such situations - although nowadays they relate more to the two remaining dealers (plus help to those with dealers who have recently folded or are about to fold - for those who will listen through their anger). I give 100% to those who I ordered for and who I therefore look after; anyhting I can put on here has to be secondary to those people and subject to physical time limitations. It is also why I get annoyed with people who don't invest their own time reading and researching even when it's their money at stake and not mine (mine isn't because I did invest such time and effort!). There are others on here who also anser the same old questions endlessly for those who can't read the advice and answers already given many times over - Quentin's patience abounds and is greater than mine in that respect!
I appreciate your comments; perhaps the powers that be might take note eventually! Maybe if people requested it directly to the moderators they would see the light!0 -
Here's a silly question
"Instead of starting hyseterical opetitions to ban cashback deals maybe people should start one on here to make it a sticky."
what does this mean? - a sticky?:j  :j0 -
Hey mods - we need a Sticky here! There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.0

When I started my guide I didn't know either. Seemed a silly name! Stickys are the threads which stay on the first page of the mobile phone feedback pages. Thus they are more likely to be noticed and read by all those who (hopefully) would benefit from reading them. Non-sticky's progress backwards through the pages where they lie unread until someone seeks them out and/or posts a comment on them (thus bringing them back temporarily to the first page). As a result many of the people who would benefit the most from my guide before, when and after they order or get into difficulty never read my guide until it's (at least almost if not...) too late! Apart from that, many of the (repeated) questions and issues appearing more generally have already been covered and addressed in my guide (among many other threads). I intended my guide to warn and help people with cashback schemes in general; ever since I started it there have been lots of people getting into trouble with cashback schemes because they failed to follow the guide (not having come across it), misunderstood the basis of these schemes and/or not even done the very basics which would have protected them to a large degree from the pitfalls which they later fell into.
I follow my own guidelines even now (having enjoyed dozens of these deals) and I think people's chances of a successful experience would increase to 90% IF they followed it. Experience and knowledge count for a lot in this game and it is actually not a good policy to disclose all the tactics etc. However, many people are sadly unware of even the basic things which would increase their chances OR stop them going for these deals in the first place if they aren't genuinely prepared to put in the time and effort.
Given the tens of thousands of angry (often hysterical) punters who have lost a lot of money in the last 10 months after making ill-informed, badly researched and impulsive decisions it is my view that instead of blaming everyone but themselves my guide would be a practical tool. Prevention is better than cure and 90% of problems are entirely avoidable.0 -
oooooooooooh thanks MJ!!!:j  :j0
