e2save problem (merged threads)

I had an email a while back from e2save stating I had 45 days to claim on an old pre price match deal which clearly went against the 30 days stated elsewhere in the documentation. They also specified the 'correct' dates in this email. For this case I followed this email and sent a copy of the email with the claim and they did pay up.
I have one more claim for this one and it’s to the Dunstable address which I plan to use.
In addition I just received 3 checks from e2save for 3 price match deals without any issues. In fact payment was exceptionally fast which was a relief.0 -
I'm having problems on the final installment of an old pre-price match deal which I sent to the Dunstable address in January (via Special Delivery). Apparently they are no longer collecting post from that PO Box. As far as I am concerned that is their problem - its up to them to collect/redirect - I am just following terms of contract. LBA is ready to send to their London HQ. I'm leaving it 45 days after receipt of claim and will then send out LBA. Very confident on this one - everything is water-tight. I have one more claim on another deal which is due for sending soon (to Dunstable) - be interesting to see if I have a repeat story on that one.0

I've sent one there recently. One more to send there next month. Looks like there'll be a queue to sue for non-collection of post! Lol!0

Have a redemption scheme with e2save - however i mistakeningly sent my bill in slightly late and have received a letter say that i will not receive my redemption repayment for this period (fair enough) HOWEVER i can not make ANY future claims due to this one !!!! up:mad:
So this mistake is going to result in me not receiving any future redemption to the tune of £400! and i was aiming to save money!
Apparently it's all stated in the small print - so be warned anyone on redemption don't forget the deadlines! Anyway this has got me very annoyed and i have a good mind to cancel my direct debits to them but where would this leave me? or is there anyway i can get them to honour the future redemptions.
Needless to say i'm very angry about this and feel as though they have stitched me up good and proper!
any advice ( other than to remember the dates for next time round!)

see the rest of this thread before your post, Huggins (your thread has been merged onto the end of this current one). This is one for experience unless you genuinely have followed what you were told to the letter. The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

Thx - i'm happy to write one payment off as it was my fault but the letter states i can't make any other redemption claims because of this one mistake? - i've got 4 more lots of redemptions left before the contract runs out. Can anyone advise where i stand with this pls????0

It's in the terms. And you agreed to them upon signing up.
They're not unfair, although you can question the ethics of the company as they don't make it easy or clear.
You may still be ok. How late did you send it in? There are two sets of dates, the ones they work by, and the legal ones. For example:
Their dates:
- 1st Claim Window Opens - 13th February
- Must send bill in by - 12th March
Legal dates:
- 1st Claim Window Opens - 13th February
- You may be required to send the bill dated 23rd February
- Must send bill in by - 22nd March
You'll need to get hold of your terms and conditions and read them through thoroughly. I'd also suggest you read each page of this thread (from around page 27). It's a lot of pages, but if you want £400 that's the cost for your mistake.
In my terms it stated that I have one month from the date of the required bill (and NOT one month from when the claim window opens).
Also, there can only be ONE required bill. You can work it out from your terms and conditions, as it states you must send the bill dated X days after connection. There will be only one bill that can fit the claim window in that case.
I sued for the above reason. I was one of the first I think. find and read mobile junkies guide, it's excellent.
All I can say is OneStopPhoneShop fought the law and the law won
When suing. 1) Claim for all the cashbacks. 2) Claim for postage costs, phone calls etc.... 3) Claim for loss of earning etc.. if you need to take a day off to go to court."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -

If you missed the claim window then all is lost I'm afraid. This is how e2save make their money.
I done loads of cashbacks and what I do is to carefully work out all my relevant bill dates and put them into my MS Outlook diary, with alarms etc set. Then copy this to my phone. Its then almost impossible to forget. This has stood me well for every claim to date on several phones over the last three years or so. I'm only now running into problems because e2s are messing me around - so it looks like MCOL time (which, strangely, I'm rather looking forward to..)

Is it that I need a visit to the opticians OR has the customer services email address disappeared from e2's website0
