  • Urgh, after saying I was impressed.... I received my text saying the cheque would be with me in 14 working days, well, that's passed now, and still no sign!

  • I recently took out a contract with e2save - 12 months free line rental on Orange Canary £30 (250 mins, 75 texts), and free Motorola SLVR.

Howevere I have had a few problems since receiving the phone:

    1. I have not received any cashsback vouchers. The letter says I should have received some in my Welcome Pack, which is not the case. However my email order gave me a link to download the relevant vouchers (pdf). Is a printed version of the vouchers sufficient? I am a little apprehensive because I know other cashback companies have a zero tolerance policy when you lose the original coupons, so I found it strange that e2save offer them online.

    2. My orange sim has not been registered and I cannot make any calls. I called Orange and they said my mobile number/sim has not been recognised and this is a fault on e2save's part. Apparently they haven't activated the line or something. I finally managed to get through to their customer services and they said it should be activated within 24 hours. However I still cannot use my sim!

Am I right in thinking that orange cannot bill me if e2save have not registered the sim (as they have none of my details)? Does that mean I effectively got the SLVR for free without having to worry about cashback? Or is something wrong and should I send my phone back to e2save?

Thanks in advance for your help...
  • I didnt receive any vouchers either and neither did a friend of mine, but was assured that downloading the vouchers from the web would be fine which I have since done.

Haven't put that to the test yet.

    1. Downloadable vouchers are perfectly acceptable for e2save cashbacks - Ive used them and every claim has been honoured.

2.I'm not sure this answers your query, but I purchased a handset from e2save 9 months back on an Orange tarrif - Sim took its time to activate, but imagine my horror when I received a FINAL DEMAND off Orange for non-payment! Apparently, e2save had not passed my DD details on - effectively I had a phone & Sim despatched to me without them ever having my details!

It happens - but they catch up with you, so best to contact Orange and give them all your details.

I would be interested to hear if anyone has sent stuff recorded to e2save again since 17th July and it has / hasn't been signed for!!!

    M

Sent two claims in since then (one in August one early last week) and still getting the 'come back later' message on the royal mail site.

The 14 days seems to be about a month at least in reality.

I cannot believe what i've just read!!

I have just started a new contract with e2save thinking i was on to a winner, but now i'm terrified that i've made a big mistake!!

When i ordered my phone i actually ordered it from the Car Phone Warehouse Clearance site, but my paperwork says e2save and when i try to go back to the web site i used i keep getting redirected to e2save. Is this the same company that everyone is talking about?

Certainly sounds like it. I also bought from carphone warehouse and ended up with e2save, I think you get there in the end but its quite a large pain in the neck doing it and chasing them up is a pain too.
